As with other reviewers, the light from the UV-C is really bright. So if you plan on sleeping with that part turned on, you will need to use some electrical tape to wrap around the whole thing to "kill" the light. When the fan is on low speed, you can hear and sleep fine. But if you start turning it up, it starts to get annoying. If you turn it to high, it will drown out all other sounds.... Overall, I really do like the GermGuardian. I believe it has helped my daughters allergies even with it only running at night. I am thinking about getting a second one for my bedroom.

Really great to have this unit to clean up the air in my basement. I have family living in my basement do clean very important !

I bought this a Day after the sylmar fire broke open because we can smell smoke inside the house. This is good for small areas. Really eliminates the smell.

if you have allergies you need to buy this, worth the money

I have an allergy to cats and this Christmas we received 2 kittens. The first couple of nights I was dying, so I decided to do some research on the top best affordable purifiers. After some reading I came across the germguardian. I was a little scepticle as to buying at first, but now I would definitely recommend this product if you have any day to day allergies or allergy to pets at home. Releived my allergies to minimum and Works very well, actually thinking about buying another one for downstairs.

It's a great product to use if it is used in a small room like a bedroom. Not intended to use in a large room like a living room.
