We moved into 2 story base house with no upstairs return air, nothing but carpet, and the dust was horrible. Every morning we'd wake up with sore throats, bloody and stuffy noses, etc. We put one in each bedroom and the next day everyone woke up and could actually breathe!! We have also noticed a dramatic drop in dust on flat surfaces even with 2 medium sized dogs. We are going back to buy another one today to put on the main floor. I only wish these bad boys had a little bit better range. BTW, BB has the best price on them, over $40 less than Amazon!

Purchased base on reviews but after two days of using it start producing plastic burn smell - not clean or purify air. Glad that i did purchased same day Toshiba for few dollars more that are 100% well spend money.

I had to return this. Worked well for 2 nights then the fan started making a very loud noise. Others have had the same issue based on reviews

This item did not work like I thought it would, it was noisy and I didn’t see any difference in using this product.

Very expensive and not a great product. I don’t think the air circulates well, even in a small room.

Honestly I returned item for full refund and special ordered a Rabbit Air A2. It just didn't live up to it's claims

Not good air flow. If I could only return it, I will return it. Not satisfied, the value of my money I paid does worth the product.

Did not work as expected. Found much better products for much better price.

love it. It is not loud, a smooth soothing sound helps me sleep at night. And cleans the air so that I find I don't need to use nose strips as often! The uv light is easily turned off for nighttime sleep (blue light tends to interrupt sleep readiness - mimics dawn). My room never smelled so good, it is really a pleasure to walk in after being away all day and smell the freshness. Smells like mountain air. love. it.

After 4 months of use the unit won start anymore. I need to contact the manufacture and see if they can replace it.

***************I've only had my unit for 6 days now.****************** So I got the smaller of the two germ guardians because the smaller one was the only one that was in stock at the time; and I was desperate to find something to help my allergies. I got it and noticed a difference the first night after letting it run in the bedroom with the door closed for a period of around 12 hours. Nights previously were unbearable due to the worst pollen season in years. I also have a dog (does not shed), but I noticed more allergies after I got him. This has really done a lot to help allergies of all types. Prior to using the Germ Guardian, I was using allergy pills here and there that had little to no effect on me because the pollen has been so overwhelming this year. While I still experience plenty of allergy symptoms, this has alleviated them to the point that I do not have a stuffy nose at night anymore. Without this, I would have continued to have many nights of sneezing fits and light sleep. As far as odors go, it definitely *helps* but does not eliminate like some of the other reviewers seem to experience. My dog is not quite housebroken yet, and even though I have this running, I still experience plenty of bad odors. Sure they're not quite so bad; I would not base my purchase on the odor control aspect. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this. It has been doing a tremendous job of capturing a lot of airborne dust and debris and other allergen-causing pollutants in the air. My nights have been significantly better by just using this unit; but I think allergy medicine still helps to attack the root of the issues.

I use tp have this dry cough in my room. I purchased the GermGuardian and it went away. It cleans the room from majority of the dust. I had it for over a year I the filter light just came on. Also it has a UV Light to kill bacteria as well. There are three power levels, the higher it goes the more noise it makes, on the lowest level you barely hear it. I would highly recommend to get one.

This air purifier is so effective. It captures dust, allergens and dust mites. However, there is a funny plastic smell every time I turn on the purifier, but the smell goes away after a few minutes. I usually leave this device on whenever I'm at home. Another good news, this product is EnergyStar Certified, which makes it energy efficient.

I purchased this air purifier about 2 months ago and have been very pleased with it's performance. We installed it in my son's room, who has pretty strong seasonal allergies and a dust mite allergy. Within a few hours of having this running in his room we could tell it was making a difference. We keep a clean and pet free home but we could tell the air seemed cleaner when we walked in. He sleeps more soundly at night now and hasn't woken up coughing since we've owned it. It's really been a huge help. We've vacuumed the pre-filter a few times now which is easy. My only complaint is that the UV light is pretty bright at night and we do turn it off when it's bed time as he has trouble sleeping with it on. Aside from that, it's a really great box and I'm very happy with it.

I got this to help with allergies. Trying things out as soon as I got home, I put it next to my bed, and put in on the low setting. I could barely hear it and have no issues falling asleep with it on the low setting. At the medium and high settings, it would be hard for the to fall asleep with it next to my bed. The opening for the filter in the back is pretty easy to do. The 'handle' helps to move it around, as well as to get it out of the box.

I bought this item because I needed a unit that could sit on the floor. Also the price was within my budget and it was available in the store. When I took it out of the box and plugged it in there was a really strong plastic smell just like the other reviews said so the next day I bought a pluggable air freshener and that masked the smell. I run the purifier 24hrs a day so the smell went away fairly quickly. The UV light is very bright at night so I turn it off. On low I can the fan is fairly quiet, but not completely silent, but my portable heater is a lot noisier. The fan does blow quite a good amount of cold air so the room stays pretty cool when the heater is not on, which will be great for the summertime. After buying this and taking Mucinex for a few days my sinuses have been a lot better. The first day I woke after using this my nose was a lot clearer so I did not have to spend a lot of time blowing my nose in the morning.
