It seems to do what it claims. I say seems because I haven't tested the air or checked if bacteria is in the room where it is but the air is fresh and doesn't hold an odor even with cat boxes. Breathing feels better. It is slim so it fits most places. Over all I am very satisfied with my purchase.

The Germ Guardian has not helped my allergies as hoped but a glance at the filter shows what it is removing from our home. I have operated them both non stop on level four without turning them off. When I return home I can tell the air is more pure and even the "lil Italians" cooking smells soon dissipate. I would have bought more during the sale but BB only had one at that time. I appreciate the effectiveness and time will tell concerning durability.

I've had this now for around 3 months, and began to notice the fresher air in my apartment within a couple of days. We have three dogs (small ones), two kids and the pet dander and allergens were apparent. That's where this product comes in. Within a couple of days, the smell of pet was virtually gone. The air was instantly without odor. I can't explain it, this was easily one of the best remedies to eliminate that lived in smell that you can mask with spray only so many times. The filter has lasted the entire time, and is designed to last up to 6 months, although we'll probably replace it in 4. The dust and pollen allergies are also taken care of with this. Our apartment just feels better and it's nice to just breathe without a glade plugin scent.

This was for an outdoor allergy suffer in the home and they have noticed the difference in the air quality. It is loud on the highest setting 5 but all of the other speeds are quiet. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great product at a good price point.

I had the smaller filter, but my son took it to his dorm room. I bought this one for a larger room and like it as well. It has more adjustments for fan, timing, etc., which is nice.

I really like that it is very quiet but I’m not sure it makes a big difference with allergies

My wife has been undergoing chemotherapy and her immune system has been diminished as a result. I purchased the air purifier for piece of mind in reducing any pollutants in the air of our home. I have been very satisfied with the performance of the unit.

Had to move out of a mold infested rental,,,bought 2 of these, they kept the air tolerable enough to get stuff moved and with new filters I am using them in the new place to keep the dog smell at bay while I get everything set up in here

This was going to be used in a room with a smoker. I wanted something to be able to clean the air and get rid of some of the bad smells and particles. I was very happy with the results. It is a little noisy on high, but almost imperceptible at lower speeds. Replacement HEPA filter is a bit pricey, but it lasted six months in a difficult environment.

Having a large dog, we have a lot of dust and sander floating around. We use this in our bedroom and we feel much less stuffy when we wake up now. I actually love having it on high at night for white noise while I sleep.

We deal with a lot of pollen, dust, and mold spores. We finally decided to give an air purifier a try. We did tons and tons and tons of research. We decided on this specific model of GermGuardian. We got a great deal at BestBuy, so we bought two. We have a 2500 square foot house and we keep one of these in the center, and move the other one from end to end - depending on where we are. You can tell the difference. And the shape, size, and white finish fit and look great. We don't mind them, wherever we place them. The real test will be when we have a guest who smokes stay with us. It will be interesting to see if this thing keeps her room from smelling like an ashtray. I'm betting it will work.

Buying another asap well wort it, not sure if extended nb warranty is needed great product

This Purifier works great and is perfect for my needs. It's not too loud but not too quiet so it can be used at night.

Great design and blends aesthetically in most environments. Very quiet and has various settings. Easy to change the filter and functionality of buttons and settings are straightforward.

Decent air filter. 5 speeds are nice - going from highest speed to one speed down really makes a difference for noise

This Air Purifier has help to improve the air quality in our bedroom. I am breathing easier. It's quiet, lightweight and fits perfect in any corner of the room.

We bought the filtration system to put near our dog's crate, sine my wife and I both suffer from allergies. I can definitely say it works well to help eliminate dog odor and keep the air clean.

I used it for my room to filter out allergens. It has UV light to kill germs too.

I am pleased with this product. It removes smoke, animal odors, and keeps the room in our basement fresh. It is very quiet and the timer is an added plus.
