Let me first say, I haven’t watched Ghost in the Shell in any other format but 4k. I’ve never watched It on dvd or Blu ray-so my only experience of viewing is the 4k release and Wow! What a beauty! I’ve heard about ‘Ghost’ since it’s release back in the 90s but had a desire to watch it until the live action film came out a few years ago (I’m one of the folks who enjoy it in fact). Because of the live action, I had to see this in 4k! Recommend the steelbook if you’re going to own a copy

Wow! As countless others have said, the steelbook is even better than any photos or video can show. Gorgeous in every way with a slip cover that truly makes it better. If you have seen the movie or not, this is a must own if you collect steelbooks. The film itself is a classic and has been since it was released. A true must own.

First off just want to say that this steelbook is really cool looking. I already own the original steelbook, but when I saw this I had to add it to my collection. The anime movie is amazing, plot, action and characters are really cool. If you haven't seen Ghostshell, do yourself a favor and watch the anime movie first before the recent live action movie with Scarlett Johansen and you will then understand why.

Always enjoyed this film and now it looks even better. Early all of the old jagged edges of previous releases (based upon format limitation) are now gone. Even if you are not an anime fan but enjoy the cyberpunk genre, check it out. See where some of the groundwork was laid for movies like the Matrix series within GITS.

Ok owned this movie in all formats as I am a fan so had to buy the 4k and sorry to be honest not any better to me than the GITS 2.0 version. Dis not really see much improvement visually. But the steelbook is cool. Buy if you do not own otherwise really not much upgrade value, kind of disappointed really thought it would pop

Great movie! This is the original restoration of ghost in the shell and not that weird one where they changed colors to be more reddish instead of the original blue ish green tint and that odd choice of mixing 3D animation with 2D. The mondo artwork steelbook is a plus and worth collecting

Ghost in the Shell is a very special movie, and this steelbook design is so unique and very fitting for such a movie. I absolutely love this cover art, and the quality is incredible. And for $10 (when I bought it), you cannot find a better deal.

The film is set in 2029 Japan, and follows Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg public-security agent, who hunts a mysterious hacker known as the Puppet Master. The narrative incorporates philosophical themes that focus on self-identity in a technologically advanced world. Based upon Ghost in the Shell by Masamune Shirow.

An absolute anime classic remastered in 4K! If you are buying this chances are you already know how great this movie is. Even if not and you are into anime this is one of the most defining titles to have in your collection. Too top it all off the Steelbook is absolutely gorgeous and worth the extra couple bucks.

I have had this movie on VHS and now Blu-ray. The video and audio quality is about the same. There are no extras at all. Which for as famous as this movie is I find hard to believe that some could not have been added in. I am glad I got the movie so that I can view it again. But there could have been more effort put into it to bring it to the new generation of movie expirance.

Pick this up! I originally purchased Ghost in the Shell 2.0 when it first came out on Blu-ray because no collection is complete with out it. I instantly gave my copy away and bought this one as soon as I saw it. Gone are the outdated CGI cutscenes! On top of nice bonus features the packaging looks stunning and the movie still brings enjoyment even 25 years later. If you are a cinema buff or anime lover you have to see this movie!

A classic. From what I was told, Ghost in the Shell release a season, then a movie, then a season, then another movie. Still don't know in what order to watch them or if it a standalone movie. Still an amazing move for those who love phycological animes

There's just something about collecting your favorite movies or shows with steelbook cases that takes it to another level. The beautiful artwork on the case is enhanced by the metallic material and will surely catch your eye. The movie is great and an entire review could be written on that alone. Comes with a clear sleeve that adds elements ignore text to the already awesome steelbook design.

This is a wonderful 4k Transfer. Now that I own a PS5 and I can build my 4L Blu-ray collection and if you love anime this is a MUST HAVE in your collection. The colors are vibrant the sound is really good and the steelbook is simply gorgeous. I highly recommend this start tour collection for 4k blurays.

One of my favorite anime movies growing up, but now in 4K. The movie itself is amazing work of piece and seeing it in this recently remastered make me fall in love with it all over again. Even the steelbook artwork fits the film idea. If you never watch this hood classic this is the best way to watch it.

Excellent packaging, beautiful picture quality. The best possible way you could own the film, and surprisingly affordable for such a classic. A great way to experience the film for the first time, as well. Generally speaking, there are no complaints to be had. Especially if you’re already a fan.

I was a bit upset at first since I thought I was getting a version that was dubbed but it was only subbed. Besides that, I greatly enjoyed watching this and will definitely look into the series more.

Classic anime title, now on blu ray with a digital code too. Compared to today's anime, this looked dated, but that's what it is right.. an old anime title that helped spark a love of anime for many of us! In short, an excellent title, for a great price

I didn't think Lionsgate could improve on the blu ray (and visually they both seem neck and neck) but the audio is near flawless. And some added supplements are nice additions - as is the nice box art. Definitely worth a pick up for it's technical merits alone (as well as the film itself).

After watching the live action movie, I had to go back and watch the original anime! I remember watching it as a child and enjoyed it. However, as an adult, I can certainly appreciate far more. It gives you plenty to reflect on. The animation has aged very well, the story is engrossing, and it just oozes quality. If you enjoy sci-fi anime, you will not be disappointed.
