Beautiful steelbook and if you're a fan of the anime it is a highly recommended collectible. It was my first time ever watching the anime and I now understand why people were upset with the live action as I watched the live action after watching the anime.

I hadn't seen this in quite a few years, even though I have it on dvd. The blu-ray audio and video were excellent. So far. I have only watched the Japanese language version with English subtitles. This is one of the best anime movies of all time.

I got this really cheap during black Friday. I couldn't think of anything else to use my $5 credit on. I love the movie and have owned every version since 1995. I didn't think it could look any better than the blu ray but, man..... I was wrong. It looks absolutely beautiful on my oled.

I had purchased the new updated version of the title with Scarlett Johansson, but hadn't watched the original. Watching the original either before or after watching the remake helps to understand some of the nuances in the remake. This 25th year anniversary edition has quite a few extra and featurettes that makes this an easy add to the movie collection.

I bought a ton of blurays to replace DVD copies of films I've had in my collection for good long while. One of those being is Ghost In The Shell, an animated classic that had a massive influence on me as a kid. This 25th anniversary edition is a killer re-release, the only downer(at least for me)is the fact it doesn't include any of the special edition behind-the-scenes documentaries going into the fascinating methods and details of the film's production. Still however worth the money and a welcome addition to my collection.

This movie is a classic and many will refer to it as part of the Rushmore of Anime movie classics. The case is incredible, I'm so glad I got it. I had the mondo release, but this surpasses it by far. I usually don't like the slipcovers, but it looks really good on this bad boy.

Ghost in the Shell.....great anime and now in 4K. I have always enjoyed this movie - had in DVD - now even better with restored 4K. If you are a fan of this movie get this version. If you are new to anime, put it up and see why anime took off in the US market. Enjoy!

This movie is very good if you want to watch a movie that really makes you think. The action scenes, music, and overall animation are great for a movie from 1995 and the story is very interesting. Makes you ask yourself what makes a human a human?

This movie set a new standard for the genre when it came out. It was a huge influence for The Matrix. The movie, based on a serialized manga, leaves so many questions that it may be difficult for new audiences to truly enjoy the plot and subtle complexities within the film. It helps to watch the TV series or read the manga prior to watching the movie.

The classic anime in a beautiful Steelbook. The standard edition Blu-ray is the same at a little less, but I opted for the Steelbook. Some may wonder why the cover does not include the iconic image we're used to seeing on previous home video releases, but the good news is that that classic image is inside the Steelbook, under the discs. Definitely recommended.

Cult classic anime film about a cyberpunk world in 2029 Japan. They've 4K Blu-ray Ultra HD'd this fine film and SteelBooked it for your viewing and displaying pleasure. A must have in your anime collection.

The blu ray remaster of this classic animation looks fantastic (watched on 4k ultra hd tv). If you like anime already, have seen any of the countless spinoffs of the series, or looking for a way to get started watching Japanese animations, this is a solid classic that has aged very well. I recommend seeing this before the live action remake is released.

With the new movie coming out, I thought I'd watch the original, and although it mostly makes sense, some parts are just hard to follow. It does great with the setting by not necessarily explaining how everything works, but from this stand-alone picture, I would've like more hand holding surprisingly enough, that way I could enjoy the crazy twists more instead of wondering what key thing I might've missed. Overall though, it was a good film, and the characters were likable. And the music was pretty stellar.

This steelbox edition is a great upgrade (if you have it already) and worth it. And if you’re thinking of getting it for the first time, go for it. The movie is a good one in terms of the story, the 4K and upgraded audio makes the experience even better. Hope this helps.

While there is another steelbook release out there for Ghost in the Shell, I prefer the Mondo release due to its artwork and the plastic sleeve that covers the steelbook. The film itself was not only groundbreaking but it has gone on to inspire numerous other works. Definitely a required watch for any fan of anime or the A.I. scifi genre.

This is a great 4K transfer of the classic Ghost in the Shell. The best this movie has ever looked. The Japanese Dolby Atmos track really opens the soundstage and makes this feel like a new experience watching this film again. Worth it , if you are a fan of this film.

The original anime movie is miles above the live action release, and it’s awesome to now see this in 4K. While the audio track seems unchanged, it’s a very interesting combo of shaper image and original mix. Definitely recommend for fans! Plus this steelbook is sick

The 4K transfer is stunning and this is absolutely the definitive way to watch the original Ghost in the Shell. The cover art/box is also gorgeous, which helps. Whatever you do, do not watch the 2.0 version with the garbage CGI and unnecessary changes.

Beautiful steelbook! And the 4k restoration is the best this movie has ever looked! If you were in doubt, toss that old Blu-ray and pick this up ASAP. You won’t regret it. The lines are very deep, sharp and well-defined and the colors look better than ever.

If you are looking for the best image and sound. This is the version for you. I have the original DVD, and I’ve been waiting for a definitive version before purchasing any Blu-ray version. This is exactly what I was waiting for and the 4K version looks phenomenal.
