From the beautiful steelbook artwork to the actual 4k quality of the movie, this is definitely a worthy upgrade. I was clearly able to experience and differentiate the quality improvements this 4K HDR edition offers over a regular blu ray copy.

This movie is a masterpiece of anime goodness. It has been updated to 4K and is looking great!! This was my first foray into anime and I’ve been hooked ever since. The steel book is totally awesome. Get it from Best Buy while it’s still available!!

Have had this movie on VHS, DVD, and had to upgrade to the blu-ray version. If you have never seen this movie, to say this is an anime classic is an understatement. Stop reading, go purchase this and join the many who have appreciated this animated classic. One watch and you will understand why this is a must watch...

This movie has always been a favorite of mine since I saw it in 1996. It follows the MANGA very well and had inspired other sci-fi shows, movies and books. A must have for fans Shirow's works.

If you're a GitS fan from way way back then this is a no-brainer purchase of a classic anime. The steenbok packaging with slipcase is gorgeous. The transfer is a faithful copy of the original movie -- no trying to update the CGI like they did years back. It's not going to look as good as modern animated efforts in 4K, but it is a well done picture and sound transfer.

This has to be one of the coolest steelbooks I have purchased, and the artwork is just amazing! Must buy for collectors of steelbooks and anime.

One of the best Japanese Anime ever produced. Sophisticated story line, science fiction at it's most futuristic blend of apocalypse and human/robotics confrontation that leaves you wanting more as it entrenches you into the characters edgy domain. Well written and directed and definitely a collection must have.

A crystal clear image. Such a satisfying viewing experience. I was a bit worried about the 4K transfer and it’s HDR, but my concerns were completely gone by the end of the opening credits. This film ages with grace.

Original movie from 1996 era. The artwork on the SteelBook is amazing. Great movie so pick this one up before it sells out at BB. Steelbook Slipcover 4K Disc Blu ray disc Digital copy.

Some movies you just need to watch again in 4k. GitS is one of them. Having not seen it in high definition before is a treat (previously owned on DVD). Excellent transfer and picture quality! A true classic that everyone should own.

Ghost in the Shell is still a great movie and this 25th anniversary Blu-ray addition is a great version of it. For under $10, I couldn't pass it up and was very happy to add it to my collection. In my opinion it is far better than the recently released live action version and is more deserving of your attention.

i had never seen this movie before at all or the show in this case. but this is better than i had imagined. the ghost in the shell live action with scarlet was like a shot by shot from this anime. i prefer this one better than the other one

I'd easily recommend this film to anyone who likes the sci-fi genre and movies similar to the Matrix. Definitely a head of its time. The quality of the animation isn't the best I've seen, but considering it's from the early 90's, it's not bad at all.

A code to redeem an Ultra Violet HD digital copy is included. Anyone who has not watched Ghost in the Shell should buy this. Others who own previous version should know that the transfer is the same

An Anime classic made even better in 4K UHD! If you are a fan of this amazing animated film, do yourself a favor, and buy this newly restored 4K release... it's simply gorgeous! Plus, you can't beat the $7.99 pricetag for Black Friday.

I was sure to rush to the closest Best Buy location to get my hands on this new steelbook . 25 year anniversary couldn’t have looked better . Not impossible to find and worth every dollar. Glad I found it on Black Friday ! Go watch it

One of the greatest anime films of all time, finally in its 4K reincarnation. Great animation style, thought provoking story, and infinitely better than the Hollywood adaptation. Definitely recommend.

An anime classic. Cyberpunk at it's best, and still a haunting piece. The animation still holds up with the 4K Remaster, but it needs a little bit more of the extras like the Bandai Blu-Ray. I am glad the 2.0 animation was cut out.

Most steelbooks are fairly generic. This one goes above by including a clear plastic cover which combines with the steelbook to form a piece of artwork. Unfortunately this movie has had a ton of releases so you're double-dipping.

A solid remastering, although I know that with celluloid movies you need some DNR or another to prevent the grain from taking over the entire image (especially for 4K/HDR) but, I still don't like too much of it. The actual film is still as great as ever, a must see if you like Japanese cyberpunk and want to ponder what it means to be human.
