I'll be honest, these types of movies usually aren't for me. I picked this up for 2 reasons: the steel book, and the great sale price. It's not a bad movie at all.

Ghost in the Shell is one of the best sci-fi anime movies ever made. This 4k disc isn't all that better than the blu-ray though, only a minor upgrade. I recommend it anyways.

I originally had this movie on DVD but with it being its 25th year anniversary I felt the need to upgrade to Blu-ray. By doing that tells you how much I loved this movie filled in a futuristic world of AIs, cyborgs, and hackers that kick butt.

I wasn’t amazed by the 4K transfer but this is a classic so I’m not completely disappointed! You don’t need me to tell you how good Ghost in the Shell and great soundtrack is. Amazing art front and back of steelcase! A must get, for any die hard anime fan! Hope we get part 2.

Ghost in the Shell is considered one of the greatest leaps in anime. This Blu-ray edition merely heightens everything wonderful. From the luster of the visuals to the distinct sound and soundtrack. Well worth adding to one's collection.

Ghost in the Shell is not something easily described through words. Some call it the "Blade Runner of anime", but that's only one way to look at it. From the rich animation and dynamic world setup, Ghost in the Shell is something to be seen to be believed.

Beautiful steel book. The color and texture are very well done. The 4K transfer of the film was done nicely. Not noticeable at first but after a side by side comparison, amazing.

I just remember seeing Asian kids in school with Ghost in the Shell shirts on back in 96 before we had the internet and hyped fabs. This anime was way ahead of its time. The frames per second are ahead of the game. It is a must for all anime watchers

I havent watched this on blu ray yet, but I was very impressed when I first watched this on VHS on its original release... when i purchased this copy i told the clerk to stop watching DBZ and pick up this title. Maybe you'll take my advice?

We are mostly familiar with this movie starring Scarlett Johanson, but this is the legendary animated version. Always interesting to see a different look at the same movie or story.

One of the must watch anime to own in your collection. This may not be the current 4k release that is currently out there...it still holds up as a great transfer on Blu-ray.

WOW ! really comes alive in 4k and the new audio format in Dolby Atmos. yes, adult-themed for its time when released, but today even teenagers would find it ok. still a must-see.

I like old animation. When I watched this cartoon I notice how advance on its time it was. 1996 is the year and the cartoon looks better than a lot of new stuff out there.

Ghost in the Shell anime is the best and that is why it was purchased for my son. He is getting into this anime and this was his first of his collection to come.

If Anime is your thing this is a must have for ones collection. The new movie with Scarlett Johannsen is coming out soon, making this a perfect refresher movie before the new version.

Great classic Anime film in great quality. Both UHD and normal Blu-ray good for those without the latest players.
