I picked thisMovie to analyze and test for entertainment quality and Sci-Fi story content. I wanted to know if the stry was the same old Sci-Fi story. Well i enjoyed seeing Scarlett Johansen handle the escalation of issues that led to the climatic event. You have to see it for yourself but I have to say that I was impressed with the performance. The visuals and Sound of the Blu-Ray felt as if your wer right there. For Home theater enthusiasts, add it in! don't sleep on this one. You will like it.

Very good movie nice special effect good action ..

While its notorious casting problems are legitimate, as well as the methods by which the writers worked it into the story itself, Ghost in the Shell is a solid movie with extraordinary visuals and - while a simplified story takes the place of the manga and anime's headier themes - a very clear sense the filmmakers cared about the source material on more than a surface level. Scarlet Johansson is, strangely, a little too robotic at times, but it's sometimes used to the movie's advantage, and if nothing else, they nailed the pivotal relationship between the Major and Batou.

I enjoyed this movie. It wasn't extraordinary, but I enjoyed this live-action take on the popular Japanese Anime/Manga by the same title. I read a lot of bad press about the movie, but I don't agree with it. It was fun and entertaining. I don't care how closely it followed the Anime or Manga. I am not a film student or critic, so I don't know much about cinematography, but I didn't see any problems that took away from me enjoying the movie. If you like Sci-Fi action, you will enjoy the movie. If you like Japanese inspired visuals, you will enjoy this movie.

I'm not a fan of anime which I understand that's what this is based on. I bought this because it was on sale at Best Buy for $9.99, which I think that this is a fair price. The images are very beautiful through out the movie. The 3D at times was very good and other times I think a little lacking. I would have thought that this time of film would have a more in your face type of 3D. There are some making of's as extras, and you have your choice of HD streaming or download from Itunes or Ultraviolet. Either way, I'm not disappointed that I got it for $9.99

Not a reference disc which is surprising from Sony. Dolby Atmos, amazing, but the transfer is reference at times and hazy at times, very obvious when they changed from shooting in 6k, 4k, and 2k. I have the LG C7 oled. The digital code is a UHD code on Vudu with dolby vision and dolby atmos, Dolby Vision is amazing and should have been used on disc, colors are more vibrant, nuanced, but the Atmos transfer is not as good. I could tell that I was listening to a compressed signal. The sounds not as crisp and precise and a slight muffle to dialogue. Overall, recommended!
