Solid portrayal of the series Didn't thing the lead could pull it off Liked the mini backstory & the special effects were great The subtle twists kept my interest until the end

A cyber crime ahead of its time, this movie will definitely captivate your attention and keep you wondering of the possibilities of what can happen on the internet. A new perspective to the classic, loved that movie.

Missed this in the theatre and was very excited to see being a fan of the original anime. Scarlet gave a great performance really gave me a feel the of the original. I loved it !!

Not a frame for frame remake of the original, but a good overall take of the original anime. Action is good, visuals are good. acting is good. No reason not to check it out.

I always like it when my blue ray purchase comes with a DVD. Blue ray for me DVD for my daughter. The movie was good.

I had not seen this movie before I purchased it. I felt it was good, but not great. However, the price was right. Best Buy has super sale prices and an incredible selection.

Outstanding visuals but expected a little more storywise, but with never seeing the animated version I really can't compare the two... Steelbook packaging was a beauty though!

Can always count on Best Buy to have great movies at a great price. Was skeptical about this movie at first because I wasn't sure it would due the original justice. It did that and much more. I do hope there will be more. And who could go wrong watching Scarlett!!!

What can you say about GITS that hasn't been said. Blah, blah, blah, nice to look at but stupid changes to the story ruined it. Yes, it's all true. I do want to address the casting of Scarlett Johansson. If you know the Japanese manga that this was base on than her casting shouldn't have bother you that much. The whole point is that it doesn't matter what body she's using. It's her mind/ghost that drives everything. So yeah she could be in a Caucasian body in one mission, Asian in another, African in another, etc, etc.

This movie was just what I needed on an evening with out the wife! :) Lots of action, integration of technology and just plain cool sci-fi action adventure fun. Scarlett fit the role well. Really enjoyed the bots and futuristic vision of the creator of this movie.

Hopefully get a chance to watch and enjoy this movie with the sexy heroine. Scarlett Johansen is gorgeous and beautiful.

This is a beautiful and thoughtful adaptation of the 1995 anime and the original Manga. A+ Art Direction, Casting, Directing, Script and FX. Almost surpasses the 95 version in efficiency and emotion. Yet again, Sanders creates a solid and artistic adaptation. A++

First off, the steelbook version of Ghost in the Shell is beautiful, which is the reason i bought it from Best Buy. The movie itself though, not really recommended for everyone. Unless your a huge scarlet johansson fan or a fan of mindless movies with spectacular visual effects, its not for you. I only bought this because of the actress. If you are a huge fan of the original anime and are expecting the movie to be just as good as the 90s anime, you will be disapointed. Only buy this movie if you just like the actress.

Please be adviced that I ordered the three DVD's at the same time. But the experience for buying online for the first time from Best Buy was great. I like the way they quickly processed my order and kept me inform from the start (shipping, tracking, ect.).

How can you not be impressed with the visuals and story!!! Anime brought to life at its best!!! Scarlett Johansson rocks!!!!

Scarlett spends most of the film in an almost see through body suit, which is the highlight of the movie in my opinion. I watched it one time and traded it in at a video store.

Nothing ca compare to the classic anime, but this was a decent adaptation with some not-so-horrible creative liberties. Very enjoyable

I had my doubts about this film - Anime to real life people, but I was nicely surprised!!! This movie was fun & action filled, with a unique storyline, following the Anime!!!

If you like Sci-Fi , this is a good movie. A good mix of animation and real actors. Also good action scenes

I have been updating my movie collection to include 4k titles and this one is stunning. The action sequences look great. The movie as a whole, could've been much better.
