Nothing ca compare to the classic anime, but this was a decent adaptation with some not-so-horrible creative liberties. Very enjoyable

How can you not be impressed with the visuals and story!!! Anime brought to life at its best!!! Scarlett Johansson rocks!!!!

The steelbook is absolutely GORGEOUS and the 4k is solid for what it is (it's a well done 2k transfer). The 3D is the beest option for this movie, however. The depth and dimension is apparent in literally every scene. 4K is a 3.5 outta 5 and the 3D is a solid 6.

Despite the whitewash casting of Scarlett Johanssen this is a decent and action packed adaptation of the classic anime. Production design and visual effects are top notch.

4k version ftw. She nailed this character. Was better than I expected and will watch again. Pre order from Best Buy is more attractive every purchase. Easy and free shipping.

If you like Sci-Fi , this is a good movie. A good mix of animation and real actors. Also good action scenes

Enjoyed this movie even though ratings at other sites didn't give it goods reviews. I guess that it wasn't close enough to the source material, which I am not familiar with.

This is originally an anime hitting the big screen, so I only expect so much, but it's not as bad as I expected considering the fact that it originated from Japanese anime.

Movie was done great, kept close enough to original anime with slight changes, but all done well... Great combo of cgi and live action, especially the "fountain" fight scene

Took a chance and bought it sight unseen because of the effects and Scarlett. Her outfit is a little distracting in an odd way. Looks like a Digital body but worth the buy.

A good SIFI movie with lots of action. The CGI was excellent and the acting was very good. I got a great deal on the SteelBook Blu-ray at Best Buy, so I purchased the movie without any recommendations. The movie was well worth my investment....

My husband bought it and I wasn't thrilled. I was pleasantly surprised when I actually liked it. The story line was good and it was action enough to keep us both awake.

I'd yet to see the animated version of GITS so I thought I'd pick this up. So glad I did and wasn't disappointed. Plenty of action and imagery. Great Sci Fi appeal and hope there's a sequel. Scarlett played a great role and the supporting cast was on point.

This movie is pretty good. The action sequences are well done. The story is where I think this movie falls a bit. The story could have been put together a bit better.

I did not buy this online like I normally do steel books because it looked good but not great. Then I went to Best Buy and saw it in person and was WOWED by how truly beautiful the steel book truly was. The picture does it no justice. Buy this if you can!

Very sexy heroine but it was hard for me not to get past my expectation that she would be Japanese. I felt I was watching Black Window pretending to be someone else.

The entire movie was pretty much eye candy, really enjoyed the beautiful scenery and computer graphics done in the movie. The story was average, could have been better.

Never into the original anime so I don't know what to compare it to. But it's a fun sci fi action movie. And Scarlett is always a plus and adds an immediate extra star.

This movie was great to watch. The premise was thought provoking and a little scary as far as where science could go in our future. Something everyone should watch.
