Marvel star Scarlett Johannson stars in the live action remake of the much better anime. Watch that instead.

The film didn't have me jumping up and down, but it was different and at time interesting to watch. I didn't always get it, and will likely have to watch it a few more times at some later date, I am so glad I bought the tape instead of watching it in the theater .Seems like a very dark and depressing film, If you want to go ahead and buy it I would suggest to Wait awhile , the price is sure to go down.

Pretty close to the original anime. I really like the fact that they stayed really close to the original characters and story.

Started off slow and a little confusing but picked up 20 or so minutes into it then took off. Not a bad movie, just different.

Definitely different from the original movie, but nice touches of making things similar between the two that fans will notice.

Best Buy shippend out the item and it was recived on time, I enjoyed the movie and the steelbook makes for a nice collectable.

i was waiting to watch this movie so long ...after i saw it i was saddly to say this movie wasn't good enough .

don't know why BB doesn't offer Steelbooks to go with 3D BluRays anymore because this is truly the version of the film to see (they don't even have to package the discs in them a la my Tekken 7 order)

A shame that this film is although so very beautiful to gaze upon...the plot and story are shamelessly dull. Scarlet is flawless as our human Anime hero but can do little to save an otherwise non interesting film. The ending climax tries hard and engages us for a short while all to add to the mayhem once again beautifully rendered. However, I give this film 3 out of 5 because the visuals are rather special.

The ghost in the shell is very good movie not quite a noir film a very good movie I saw it in the theater and liked it so much that I bought the Blu-ray DVD digital HD combo at Best Buy four stars

This was a very good movie. It was your typical sci-fi movie. I like sci-fi movies. Typical plot line with a different slant.

Fan of the original. This movie did a nice job explaining the departures so I wasn't bothered by the differences. All around fun action movie that dabbles in the questions surrounding cybernetics.

This action-packed Science Fiction movie "expands the mind" on what can/will happen in our future with advancing computer science, technology, and artificial intelligence research. A must see...!

This is a much better film that critics would have you believe. Well made with excellent performances and special effects. As an origin story it is very well told. If you are a fan it is a must see.

host in the Shell" is an intricate masterpiece of cyber-punk fiction and storytelling, successfully melding intriguing philosophical ideas with a coherent, well thought-out (albeit) confusing plot.

This is a visual feast in 3D and in my opinion, the only way to watch this great movie! I am using a front projector with a 150" screen so it might not translate to a small UHDTV...

This particular movie was ok but entertaining. It's kinda hard to follow but in the end a good movie. It is a sci if movie.

Don't listen to Rotten Tomatoes, WATCH this movie. If you are an anime enthusiast, this movie works! No matter what the critics say, this movie a great Scarlett Johansson film and great adaptation!
