This movie is definitely interesting in the mechanics and what one person thought the future could hold.

Yes, the original anime is better. Movie is still visually beautiful and entertained me thru it's run time.

Not what I thought it was about. I did get very interested in it and only paused about 15 minutes in to get popcorn and put up do not disturb sign. I am very impressed!!!

I'm not a great fan of female cyborgs, so I would not have given this film a look except for the 3D, which according to reviews was rather good. The reviews were basically correct: good 3D, story quite dark and yet unemotional--perhaps exactly what one would expect from a female cyborg. I recommend this only to 3D lovers, and only at a much-discounted price.

Although not keen on having an American actress play an Asian character, the movie was action-packed and stayed true to the story.

A great movie!! Excellent actors and perfect story almost like the original anime movie from Japan, I hope the producers decide to make the 2nd Ghost in the Shell Movie. 5*****

Saw the original anime and glad it wasn't a carbon copy of it but had some parts that didn't seem to flow.

This movie is another Sci Fi thriller like Lucy. She has a character role for these type of films.

The filmmakers took elements from the animated movies and TV series, and blended them into a new story. Fans of the original will find lots of Easter eggs and a few surprises.

I am a fan of the series and have watched them all. This movie tries to get the look and hit on some of the themes. Batou was great and side character casting was good (I wish the team would have had more to do). But the movie rings hollow. I enjoy it as a fan and as a good popcorn flick, but GitS is a much deeper source material that this movie only glances on.

I have a 4k tv and the movie is absolutely stunning in 4k. The story is ok, but it is visually amazing!

Scarlet Johannson's Ghost in the Shell is a beautiful take on the original series. Definitely worth 9.99

do not go into this movie thinking it will be same as the anime classic. it is not. some parts yes. in 4k this is a demo disk to show off your system. looks and sounds amazing

This is a fun popcorn flick...the 3d isn't bad and the atmos height effects do get noticed throughout.
