Ghost in the Shell 4K Ultra HD/Blu Ray steelbook is a really nice looking steelbook....it has a Mondo type looking design on the cover. The movie split audiences...but I thought it was a really good American adaptation of a classic Manga/Anime. This steelbook is a must buy for steelbook collectors!

This movie is a good movie and entertaining but does fall to the anime to live action curse. It is a decent adaptation but if you are looking for it be close to the anime be forewarned it may disappoint.

Movie was great. I just hoped that steelbooks always included 3D version of the movie if it was available. Why would I want a 4K, bluray and digital. If it should actually have 4K, 3d bluray and digital.

Years back I was blown away by the original anime series. This movie tries hard and almost succeeds in capturing that show's spirit. Why Scarlet Johansson is beyond me, but the general feel is spot on.

Good movie! I liked the special effects and futuristic sci-fi story line. Some of the the slow motion scenes remind me of how the fight scenes were filmed for the movie "The Matrix" which I also really like.

Scarlet did a decent job portraying Major and the cast choice was solid. They truly followed the original anime and had lots of beautiful scenes, but the script fell flat with emotionless or lackluster scenes. It's a decent movie for a single watch, but I wouldn't watch it again for a long time. I would get the movie on sale to add to your collection, besides that I would recommend streaming it first before buying it to see how you like the movie.

Scarlett Johansson plays a robot that has a human brain. She's part of a special task force going after the people behind the robot assassins. The effects are amazing. Action throughout the movie.

The movie was not a blockbuster but I enjoyed it. Seeing it a second time cleared a few things up. If they ever make a sequel I would see it. The 4k transfer was great and worth the few dollars extra.

I like the movie for the future it represents. I always liked Scarlett Johansson. it was an easy movie to watch - had lots of action and also had a plot. The good guys and bad guys were easy to tell apart. It was great in 4K.

I was browsing through other movies and saw this one. I must have missed the previews on TV because I never heard of this one. I read the previews and it seemed like everyone liked it so I gave it a try and I liked it. I would recommend this for someone that never watched it before.

I'm not a huge fan of the original, and wasn't really a huge fan of this version of the story but I thought both were cool sci-fi flicks. It was also cool to see scenes from the anime come to life.

I still think that that classic anime movie is so much better, in my opinion it didn't do the source justice - that's just me. With that being said, the movie was ok, Scarlet Johansson is gorgeos and I think she played the role well. Action was good, and the special effects were pretty awesome. In the end though I didn't leave the theater with an "OMG, that was such an amazing movie" like I did after watching the classic anime. I wasn't on planning on buying it on bluray, but after seeing it got the steelbook treatment, I was tempted and I bought it. 3/5 stars for me.

If you are a purest basing your opinion on the original animation masterpiece, you will probably not like this live action remake. But, that aside, I found the movie very entertaining. Recommended.

This Blu-Ray version is really awesome and captured the vision of the Director, much better than in the theater. Even though the story was not what I envisioned for a live action, the extras explain the differences with regards to the antagonists of the film. Great for my collection of GITS!

This movie is beautiful! Ghost in the Shell was a ground breaker for sci-fi, and the remake does it all the justice it deserves. I display the case next to my other collect able steel-cases and it always grabs people's attention first. Highly recommend this movie! (in blu ray is best!)

This movie had all kinds of awesome effects. The atmos audio was awesome too . I have 2 top front speakers and I could hear the crawling up walls and glass and rain. It was awesome. And the movie was really good. I don't know why reviews were bad. I really enjoyed the action and story.

I wanted this since I put the poster up when I saw it in the theatres. It is worth every penny and was around $25 for 4K which is great price in 12/2017. The transfer is great and the audio is out of this world. I love the packaging but the movie itself is really well done, menu, etc.

This is a subtly westernized live action version of the iconic, classic anime with the same title. Initially skeptical, I found myself delighted with this edition of the movie. Some names are changed, as are some nationalities, but overall this remake works very well.

If you've never heard of Ghost in the Shell, have never seen anime, and don't know what the movie is about, sure, you probably won't like it. But I used to watch Tank Police, Akira, Gundam, and of course, Ghost in the Shell. I enjoyed the movie and thought it was a great adaptation of it.

I owned my 4K for a while and finally set it up with upgraded peripherals. Stunning clarity. I saw the movie in I-max 3D at theater and do miss the 3D but I guess we can't have everything .... yet
