The critics are correct when they indicate in their reviews that this film does not live up to the original anime version. But that being said this movie looks great if for nothing else it acts as eye candy. The story on the other hand has just enough intrigue to keep you interested.

I watched the anime when I was younger and I still watch it now and when I compare the movie to it, they got some things right but also a lot wrong. Visually the movie is great along with the action scenes but that's about it. If you're in it more the action, I would check it out.

There's a lot of hype about Scarjo playing the major, but they did it in a way that makes sense and the movie is fantastic.
