Truly a perfect live action rendition of the original anime release. If you are a fan, you MUST add this to your collection. If you are new to the story, it is just a really good scifi movie.

Well if you like the amine movie just enjoy the amine. The live-action film is on point with everything just few changes at some point. If your fan of Ghost in the Shell I would say watch both amine film and Live-action flim and take it from there. Other than that I enjoy the film.

This is a great live action sci-fi film. The audio score is excellent along with the brilliant Dolby Atmos treatment. One of the best surround sound mixes I’ve heard in recent films. The colors pop with the hdr and the 4K uhd is impressive. Fantastic film to own!

If you liked "Blade Runner" you will like the movie "Ghost in the Shell". It is a movie were a android is infused with the Soul of a human being, and the problems that evolve from that process. It is interesting movie that will hold your attention from the start, to the end of it.

Ghost in the shell good not great film. I'm glad I got the film on Blu Ray. Just a few months ago. I try to get for 9.99 but it was gone. I was searching evening for ghost in the shell.

A subpar plot leaves one wondering what could have been. The upside is the movie being done with 1:85 aspect ratio (fills the entire picture screen). Scarlet’s presence is also a bonus.

The live action GITS is a great homage to the anime and doesn't disappoint from start to finish. A well blended universe where all races have converged onto the original culture under the enhanced advantages (or so you think) of cybernetic implantation. Well worth multiple views.

Sifi and this actor lucy or what ever she has done is good I do not think it is the director it is her acting and ability to take direction that makes a good movie.

There are some ups and some downs to this one. I read the books and saw the anime years ago, and my issues don’t really come from changes, but more just character screen time and focus. Additionally some of the earliest shots of the movie showing the city are the worst images in the whole project, so it kind of makes the film feel cheap right from the beginning. Ultimately though, some cool effects, character designs and indoor locations. Too bad they cut Tricky from the movie. I was looking forward to seeing him on screen again

Enjoyable sci-fi story and does get you thinking about the path toward the use of AI and human engineering or re-engineering.

This is a movie I thought looked interesting from the pre-views but not sure it was one I wanted to see. My son encouraged me to buy the DVD and watch it. I'm glad he did. I really enjoyed the movie. It had a lot of action, a good story line and the special effects were great.

Really loved this movie and thought the visuals were stunning. It brings forward a futuristic world where the melding of technology and biology provides some ethical societal dilemmas.

the movie depicts the transfer of a live human person to a robotic self in the future that must solve a past dilema about herself alongwhile helping to commit justice for herself.

This is a very interesting movie conversion from anime. In fact, you might be tempted to call it unnerving because of the methods of consequence. Watch it, I think that you will enjoy!

I have the regular Blu-ray but wanted to upgrade to 4K and am glad I did. It looks and sounds fantastic. Not a substantial difference, especially from away, but closer up you can see the added detail.

Definetly on my top 10 steelbooks I own look wise. Nice glossy red with great art. Film is serious in tone with nice visuals. Will probably be much more appreciated years down the road.

Scarlett Johansson is the bomb...great movie and futuristic ,,,a must have in your collection..digital copy is nice too

The movie wasn't received well critically but I thought it was pretty entertaining. It's disappoint though that the 3D version is sold separately and not packed in with the 4K version.

Scarlett J. makes this movie. She may not always appear in the best flix but they are all entertaining at least. She is not afraid to take a chance on new, and sometimes, odd stories.

As much as my eyes love Scarlett Johansson I could not get over her being cast as the Major. I did my best to ignore this when it hit theaters and when it first came to blu ray. But after talking with a couple of folks I decided to give it a try. It turned out to be better than I imagined, but still I can't help but feel like it was a little off. It was a treat to see some iconic scenes from the anime done very well in the live action version. Also it was very nice to see Beat Takeshi speaking japanese the whole way through this.
