The movie along with the Arise series are ok. I honestly didn't like some of the changes to their origin story. I hate that Saito is some kind of Merc who only cares about money, when the original series showed a far better story of how Saito first met Major Kusanagi. The setting is classic Ghost in The Shell, but the story & characters aren't really the same. I'll probably re-watch it someday, but it's just an ok movie. Idk if I do recommend it, but it's not a "Pass", so I'll just put that I would lol.

Being a fan of the series and original film, I expected more story. In all this is a good movie, better then the others that has been released.

this is a retelling of the original ghost in the shell story. a good place for new and current fans to start over.

first time watching the Ghost in the shell series. story was ok, animation was great though.

It's the same name, but the ghost is different. Love the Stand Alone Complex series and this doesn't match the enjoyment of hat version.

I'm a huge fan of the GITS anime a and manga. Until this. The storyline was weak, the familiar voices are gone, and Masamune Shirow was not involved in the process.

Liked GiTS the new movie, good animation and english voice actors dub. Found out later that this movie follows the events of GiTS ARISE, a 10 part TV series. Parts 1-8 are available as ARISE Borders 1-4, episodes 9 & 10 have not been dubbed into English yet. (I'm not a subtitle fan)

Great movie to add to the exclaimed series G.I.T.S. Even if you never seen the series still a good starting point. Loved the movie!

A good anime Have a good storyline. Would recommend it to how ever like anime

Ghost in the Shell gets better and better with every new iteration and series. Enjoy!
