Not as bad as people are saying but its still not very good.

Huge Ghostbusters fan having grown-up with the original two films. I had been eagerly awaiting a third movie with the original cast, but this is what we got instead. After reading horrible reviews, I still decided to give this version a shot. It may not be the original two classics, but it is still an entertaining movie.

This is no way a replacement or can be compared to the original 2 movies. If you go into it with an open mind and view it on its own it is a fun movie with great special effects. Some of the humor doesn’t hit its mark, but I enjoyed it and will watch it again. It was also fun for the cameos of the original cast members.

Doesn't hold a candle to the original, but it has it's moments.

I was shocked that a franchise with a marketing demographic of parents that grew up watching Ghostbusters and loved the idea of sharing a reboot with there kids had to sit thru a long dialogue of the group getting flipping off. This added nothing to plot and humor could have been found in a more constructive mannor.

Pays homage to the classic we all love by its own right. It is its own movie with a likeable female cast with Hemsworth as the supposed man candy comic relief. This is enjoyable and I loved watching it with the family. Myself comparing to the original, while the kids being exposed to the "who you gonna call" craze.

I saw this in the theaters and really enjoy it. It felt strange to me that it recieved the backlash that it did. While I did enjoy the original Ghostbusters this is a different animal all together. Also, the fact that the remaining original cast gave it their blessing and appear in it should put your mind at ease.

I like the tone and feel of this movie. Different feel than the originals but that's not a bad thing. It's nothing special and doesn't move the needle. It's just a fun movie. I do think that they tried too hard to be funny, so to me I was hoping it would be funnier. Overall, it's an ok movie. Not bad, not great.

Judging from the movie's terrible trailers, I wasn't expecting much from the Ghostbusters reboot. However, the movie turned out a lot better than I assumed it would. It's not as great as the original, but there are quite a few laughs, some great special FX, and hilarious performances from McKinnon and Hemsworth.

This movie got a lot of hate before it even came out. I'm not sure why. I really enjoyed this movie. There are so many references to the original (both for the casual fan and the super fan). The humor was genuinely enjoyable and a repeat watch for me. The cast is great and they have a great chemistry together.

The original ghost busters was such an iconic sci-fi film that it would be hard to follow up on it... This proved to be true in this case. There are a number of cameos that I loved seeing and the ending leaves me some hope that they can find the right magic to make an excellent follow up to the original films.

I enjoyed all four actresses and the pressure to take over the roles was felt. Loved the nostalgic aspects(watch for those cameos!). It may not be best of the three films but still has the potential for exciting new ideas and stories going for forward with a sequel for the much beloved Ghostbuster franchise.

Wasn't sure i was going to like this movie since i am a big fan of the other ghostbuster movies, but, low and behold, once i realized it was not a reboot or remake, i found this to be a very fun, funny movie, the cast was very well picked, all three ladies were equally great in this film. The surprise cameos of the original cast from the Ghostbuster movie years ago as different characters was a great addition to the fun. I would highly recommend seeing this movie with a clear and open mind, you might be surprised.

Such a funny movie. The picture and sound quality are worth it alone! While it might not be the original this is a great female cast with plenty of laughs and ghouls and ghosts. A great family movie to watch around Halloween!

This version of Ghostbusters could've been better.

I am a huge fan of the Ghostbusters franchise, the 1984 movie, the sequel and The Real Ghostbusters TV show. When I heard they were remaking one of my all time favorite movies I was a little hesitant, until I saw the cast. I was excited that they were remaking it with an all female main cast. The little nods to actors who are not in the movie but in the original (Rick Moranis and Harold Ramis) as well as cameos from the remaining cast (Murray, Ackroyd, Hudson, Weaver) were a great compliment to this movie.

Standing on it's own, it's a decent popcorn flick. If you are a fan of any of the cast that helps. Definitely watch the 3D version...it helps. Unfortunately the only way to do that is by purchasing the 4K edition. I enjoyed it, and consider it having replay value. Some nice nods to the originals.

It was funny because they definitely had the right cast but it's hard to beat a classic. 4K hdr look sweet but the 3D on my lg oled g6 was something else! I wish the made more 3D 4k movies. I don't like deciding between buying a 4K with blueray and digital copy vs 3D with blue ray and digital copy.

I think this movie was panned by critics, but I think it's because they're so entrenched in the original. Since I'm not as familiar with the original movies, I was able to enjoy this movie for it's fun and cheek! These actresses are amazing at what they do, and I would definitely watch a sequel.

This movie got dogged, unfairly, I've only seen the extended version, but I laughed so hard through this movie that I ended up buying the 4K. Good story in the spirit (no pun) of the original, the four lead women are a mighty team of comedy and chemistry. The special effects are also worth mentioning, outstanding. Even a bit scary at times!
