I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. Although, I didn't have high hopes to begin with, I actually enjoyed Ghostbusters. It was funny and I got a kick out of an all-girl team, with "Thor" as the eye-candy. I found it enjoyable. I think adults as well as kids would find this entertaining.

So as you might expect this reboot is not as good as the original. However it is not a bad movie and pays homage to the original. If you want to see a straight remake of the original don't bother with this, but if you are up for a fun adventure- pick this up. It's fun for the whole family.

I already liked the actresses in this movie, so I didn't enter this offended about the casting decisions. If you cannot get past the female cast, look elsewhere, but if you give it a chance, it is genuinely funny. Good showcase for HDR as well, the proton gun effects really pop off the screen.

I generally don't appreciate reboots much (Star Trek being the worst offender) but this has a good mix of wit, comedy and F/X. A little slow and repetitive at times. Otherwise, a good start. The cameos of nearly all the original surviving cast lent an air of support as well. Good flick.

The original male-cast Ghostbuster films are so ingrained in our minds that it is difficult to move forward to the new female-cast version; however, the role-reversal idea is carried out well, especially with the dumb male secretary character. All-in-all, a fun evening's entertainment.

I purchased this movie knowing that it hadn't performed well in the theaters but it was inexpensive so I picked it up. My daughter and I watched it together and although it did not have the chemistry of the first Ghostbusters movie it still was an enjoyable, fun movie to watch.

This is a movie that was controversial from the start. Forget everything from the original two movies from the 80s. This is a fresh take on a classic franchise. You don't have to know anything about the original movies to enjoy this one. It has some problems, but is a movie worth seeing.

I'm a Ghostbusters fan for life, and i liked this movie. Yes it had it's faults but it had it's good parts too. The original will always be the best but this one was a fresh look into the franchise. The steelbook was nice with a a pop art style. Definitely worth the price.

I know lots of people blasted this one before it even had a chance, but I saw it in the theatre and enjoyed it much more than even I thought I would. Best Buy had a great online deal and I jumped on it. I think it's definitely worth giving it a watch, you'll be pleasantly surprised :)

Ghostbusters is a huge staple of Film in our society. So when I heard the news they were making a new one for this generation I was a little hesitant. Needless to say, this version had me laughing nonstop and threw back some old school respectable tropes from the original.

This movie was entertaining. The movie on 4k looked really good, but there are numerous times when visuals extend to the black bars above or below the actual movie. This is for the 3d effects. The 3D on this movie is amazing, but I didn't buy it for that.

This was a very good movie. The fact that the Ghostbusters were all women was a novel approach and well done. I would have given it five stars but nothing could top the original in my opinion. Sorry Rick Moranis was such a pill and couldn't do a cameo. Lowers his stock in my book.

I like this update. It was a little less raunchy than the original so I felt comfortable watching it with my 10 year old son. I also like the girl power message. It also had enough action to keep my son interested. It was good choice of casting for the Bill Murray character.

I love the designs of the Ghostbuster steelbooks for GB 1 and 2, so I had to have this to complete the set. As for the movie, I actually didn't like the original two movies. I don't think they are very funny at all, but I loved this new one. I also had no idea that Chris Hemsworth could be so funny. The all female cast is also great and every member of the new GB team definitely holds their own. If you didn't like the original Ghostbuster movies, give this one a try!

There was a lot of flack for their being an all female cast but don't let that deter you from picking this movie up to add to your collection. The effects look great in HD and the movie is genuinely a good laugh. Chris Hemsworth is definitely funnier that I would have expected.

So my 14 yr daughter wanted this movie and I was hesitant but I got it during the holiday sales at Bestbuy. We watched this movie on family night and we all really liked it. It definitely has some funny spots. I would watch it again and we probably will in a couple of months.

Not sure what I expected when I bought this. When I watched it the first time I saw many duplicate scenes from the original Ghost Busters. The acting was OK but I thought the dialog was a little forced at times and did not come across as it should have. Rent it, don't buy it.

This movie received an unfair amount of hate when it was released, but I enjoyed it very much in theaters and it is even better in its extended format. The Best Buy steelbook is especially nice, giving this hilarious movie the lavish home-video treatment that it deserves.

I was hesitant to get the movie but my GF wanted to watch it with me so I bought it. I liked the movie more that I thought I would as I am a big fan of the original. The movie is better than the critics say, it isn't a stellar movie but worth watching once or twice.

A lot of people were bashing this female remake of Ghostbusters before it even came out. Because of that, I was skeptical, but I went to see it anyway hoping that it would be good. I'm glad I did! Rather than "ruin" the Ghostbusters franchise, it rather stands on its own. It really can't and shouldn't be compared to original two movies. However, the humor was still present! I was so happy to purchase the movie when it came out, especially in the awesome steelbook!
