An old movie, but such a fun plot! My grandkids will love this movie!

I don't get the hate for this movie! I loved it! It's just a lot of FUN that all members of the family can enjoy together. I think they did a great job of making it the new Ghostbusters and giving nods to the original. Funny, great special effects, and great cameos by the OG's. I buy all 3D releases, and this is definitely one of my favorites of the year. There is a good mix of depth and occasional popouts at the appropriate times. Although, I think the popouts were a little better in theater. The steelbook is also fantastic. Great artwork and gloss finish. I will say I hated paying the high price for this one. Best Buy keeps raising the prices, and this one was not even on sale during release week. If I didn't love the movie so much, I wouldn't have bought it. Plus, they only had these in stores.

Don't listen to whiny fanboys about this reboot! Because, honestly, salty men make up the majority of folks I've encountered who thought this movie was absolutely terrible- many hadn't even watched it before hopping up on their soapbox and starting to ramble about how a "classic is being butchered" by female leads but ANYWAYS... The movie itself is a fun ride with an excellent cast. You definitely don't have to have seen the original Ghostbusters to enjoy it, but if you have seen the original and disliked it, you probably wont care for the reboot either. The humor is campy and corny, much like the original. If anything, the scene in which Kate McKinnon's character, kicks some serious ghost butt while a remix of the GB theme music plays makes it worth the watch- easily my favorite scene. So, if you've only heard negative things about this movie, I'd encourage you to give it a shot anyways as it's quite underrated imho. As for me, I'm pre-ordering the blu-ray to have and play just in time for some Halloween-themed movie marathons alongside the original Ghostbusters.

The movie is funny at parts and it has its moments. I came into it with low expectations, and knew it was a gamble. I got exactly what I thought I would. A few good laughs with great special effects and Ghostbusting. It's not Bridesmaides, nor Heat, but still good. If you have a 4K TV, the picture quality and (HDR) color is fantastic. The package is fantastic too... You get the 3D copy, the regular Blu-Ray and the UV digital Copy. Also, since it's a Sony release, the UV copy unlocks the digital 4K streaming on the Sony 'ULTRA' app (which may be specific for Sony 4K TVs). Overall, it's a fun movie that is re-watchable and looks great in 4K, so you'll get your monies worth out of this disc.

All the people who wondered "Why make a remake of Ghostbusters, and all women?" are obviously the reason why this was made. Remember how put-upon the Ghostbusters gang was in the original basic story, how they didn't get credibility? Any mention of any kind of glass ceiling is applicable here. So yes, an all-female team does know what it's like to be crapped on by the establishment, and that's what the big gig is about. If you can't appreciate the beauty of just that issue standing for anyone being left out in the cold,... then you're the reason why people get left out in the cold. Wiig and McCarthy are amazing as always. The whole gang is. And watching them slog through everyone dumping on them makes each little stride for their team a good cheering spot. I recommend a drinking game for every time a man writes them off, including every time a woman takes the jerky's view and writes them off (mayor's assistant is great example). Gushing aside, the mancandy (Hemsworth) is fun but not great, he's no comic genius but he does the himbo gig ok. Just watch it. Support the underdogs.

This movie is SO great! I read the reviews and I'm shocked at how many people didn't like it. I am a huge fan of the original Ghostbusters and I think it was a great idea to do a new one. The visuals in this movie were terrific and the actors were even better. I was expecting to like this movie, but I also didn't have too high of expectations. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it, it was very funny and entertaining. I would highly recommend for everyone to give it a try. Kate McKinnon was my fav, I don't really know her from many movies but she was amazing in this one!

This movie was a meh decision to buy, I have always been a Ghostbusters fan since i was maybe 5? I saw so many negative reviews on this movie that it literally turned me off from seeing it in theaters. Once it came out i was like it couldnt hurt to see why everyone hates it. Everyone was wrong this is a funny movie, enough actions and plot to make it justified as a hit. However i see where some bad reviews came from with what it seems to me alot of Man Hating in this movie. If they would have mad it a continuation instead of a reboot it might have done better.
