I was a naysayer from the very beginning when I heard about this reboot. I decided to give it a chance though, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this movie. Sound and visual FX were fantastic. Funny all the way through, but Chris Hemsworth steals the show. Watch through the first half of the credits as well, it remedies a part of the movie I felt was left short.

I like that it is a ladies Ghostbusters movie. I don't see why we keep comparing remakes to the originals? Over 90% of the time remakes aren't better than the originals. I think, this is the second best behind the original. I love the chemistry with ladies, the visual effects are mind blowing to me and the ghosts are beautiful on this Blu Ray and it is funny to me. And for strange reason, this movie looks so much better on Blu Ray than on HDTV. The SteelBook is a big plus because SteelBooks are my favorite to collect. This was on sale! Price was cut down when I bundled it with the original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2. Got all 3 for a great price.

GHOSTBUSTERS (2016) gave me exactly what I wanted in a movie: fun escapism with plenty of humor and pizzazz to keep me entertained! I honestly cannot see why people are trashing this movie so bitterly! The ghost scenes are intensely fun and thrilling! The cast does a super job of making each character their own quirky entity, and after seeing this movie four times in IMAX 3D I still can't wait to get the blu-ray and see the extended version as well! I loved the original GHOSTBUSTERS movie, and this one is just as good in its own right! I loved the cameos from the original cast in this one, too! Even the deceased were recognized! This one is ripe for rewatching! I love it!

Like many, at the announcement of this remake, I felt uncertain. I missed it while it was in theaters and I regret I had. I rented it and found myself laughing, anticipating jump-scares, and having a wonderfully enjoyable time! Truly, I can have fun with this movie and not feel anything is being taken away from the original. It feels kind of like fan-faction; really, really funny fan-fiction. As the summary states, I purchased this movie purely for the 3-D presentation. WORTH IT!!! This movie makes use of reach-out-of-the-screen effects in such fun ways! I'm glad I made the purchase. I eagerly look forward to a sequel!

I saw this movie in IMAX with my 10 year old so I had the "old school" perspective and he had the "new school." Let me tell you...it was fantastic! We BOTH we're totally entertained and thoroughly enjoyed the comedy, scares and CGI. Movies like this are made to do one thing...take you away for 2 hours and tell you a silly story so you can leave enthused and continue life in the real world with a smile on your face:) Watch it with no prejudging and make your own decisions. You're going to be pleasantly surprised!

This movie is just too funny! Leslie Jones makes it for me. Of course everyone is funny but she just has such comedic timing and is funny without even trying!! I also like that it's not so scary that my kids can't watch it. We saw it in 3-D when it first came out and have been waiting for the Blu-Ray release. I think people who keep comparing it to the original have too high of expectations to be honest. Nothing will ever compare to the original but this is a good modern day female spin to it. They couldn't have cast better girls.......or Chris Hemsworth!! lol If nothing else buy it for family movie night! Your kids will love it!

This film got a lot of grief when it came out and it is not justified. Sure, it's nowhere near the original, but if you view it on its own merits, it stands up. It's very funny. When you put McCarthy, Wieg, Jones, and McKinnon together, you are going to have laugh-out-loud moments. Also, Chris Hemsworth steals the show every time he's onscreen.

We saw this in the theater and it was a fun film. I think that many are comparing it to the original which was certainly a tighter film, but while that is a fair comparison (given that this shares a name with the original), it may miss how much fun this one is. We got to see the extended version on bluray and the extended version is far and away even better. The theatrical version felt like it was focused on the plot, which is fine but kind of superfluous. The extended version was focused on the characters and their relationships, which is where all of the real humor in the film lies.

First, let me say that I love collecting steel-books, that's why I bought this. The movie is a good remake; does it have the spark as the original? No, but that's because I grew up with the original. I enjoyed it. Having female ghostbusters wasn't a problem for me. I would recommend this film to anybody. it's worth at least a watch.

I was expecting something so bad that I didn't watch the movie when it came out in theaters. I watched it and don't know why it was hated by so many people or why they say it's the worst movie they've ever seen (I reserve that spot for transformers 4.) The movie had some great funny moments and some that weren't funny at all. The visuals were fine, and the cameos by the original ghost busters were nice. It wasn't bad enough for me to tell someone not to watch it, but it wouldn't be at the top of my list of movies you should watch this weekend. If it's on TV or your favorite streaming service, check it out. Also, there were quite a few "I need 3d glasses to appreciate this scene" moments so maybe get the 3d version if you're considering the movie

This is an all female team of ghostbusters of the classic movie with Bill Murrey. It has its moments and better cgi. you will enjoy it. It includes a blueray copy and a digital UVcopy code. The code will unlock a theater and extended versions of the movie.

The movie was fun. I got it for the 3D which was amazing especially when it breaks the boundaries of the widescreen image. Video and audio were excellent.

I found the movie to be okay despite all the controversy.. My daughter enjoyed seeing the ladies in the roles of the Ghostbusters. But as far as plot it wasn't a retread of the original but still left me for a desire for something more original.

Ghostbusters has always been a big part of my life as long as I can remember. This reboot had so much to live up to, few directors could have been capable of delivering something so familiar yet so original at the same time. The whole cast is fantastic. The special effects are wild. It's hilarious. You can literally feel how much fun they had making this. Don't go in with rigid expectations. Just enjoy the ride.

I remained skeptically hopeful about the movie until I saw it, despite the public outcry before the movie came out. It was an abysmal failure. This could have been great, where the team was the daughters of the original team or somehow related or even a pass the torch to the new hires. Instead of ghost busters trapping and storing the ghosts, they shoot them with guns? and that whole gun licking thing... was that supposed to be sexy or show a love of guns, blech. The most non nonsensical was adding a dance number where the main ghost can for some reason mind control everyone but the four women GBs with no explanation. And the sexist and reverse sexist and racial stereotype jokes were not funny they were offensive. i.e. "the power of patty compels you" and the exorcist thing was one of the worst and Chris Hemsworth showing the women all he can propose for logos are big boobs was sexist and pathetic. Paul Feig should get out of the movie business, he's done. The female cast may work again or it may kill their careers too, they can be funny, but not in these roles. The worst thing the movie did... was attack its fans and call anyone that disagreed with the movie misogynists and racists when they were just as bad, yet trying to claim they were PC. I have blu-rays of the original 2 movies and will watch them over and over, but never this drivel.

Though I must say nothing will ever compare to the original Ghostbuster films I thoroughly enjoyed this reboot/remake so many moments had me cracking up. In so many ways it brought back memories of the original while adding a fresh view in the more modern world we live in these days. I disagree (now at least) with all the critics who put it down. I watched it in its extended format.

This movie had so much negativity towards it before it was even released. The all female team was enough to make people jump ship without giving it a chance. However, I’m a Ghostbusters fan, and I love Melissa McArthy, so I decided to go in with an open mind. Visually it was stunning. The story was okay. But the script was bad, the casting was not that impressive, and the humor was so forced I couldn’t bring myself to laugh. It’s worth seeing if your curious, but I would maybe spend a buck on Redbox over buying it. No comedy that you can’t laugh at has replay value.

Okay but not worth the full price of the movie...that's why I bought when I did as I was skeptical of them ruining a classic 80's movie...it ended up going okay but again can't top the bar set with original

This isn't the worst movie I've ever seen, but it's pretty bad. The dialogue was terrible, and they even messed up the original plot. Although the acting was good, the actors were given precious little to work with, as the writing was awful. I was so excited about seeing an all-female version of Ghostbusters, only to be greatly disappointed by what they came up with. This movie is definitely NOT worth the price of a movie ticket, and don't waste your money buying it on blu-ray or DVD..

I still don't understand all the hatred for this movie. I've watched it twice and have seen the originals more than 20 times throughout my life. Not as good as the Original Ghostbusters, but definitely better than the 2nd Ghostbusters from 1989. The cast is funny, the special effects are great, and I thought the story was on par with the Ghostbusters universe.
