Great monitor for games optimized to take advantage of the additional resolution. Minor ghosting on black but that’s expected for the panel type /price and only noticeable on a few games. Bright games really pop. Would highly recommend

A nightmare. First FedEx lost it, then 15 calls and emails later BestBuy agreed to resend it a week later. I got it. Not happy with the colors. It is very dim comparing to IPS, which I knew, but the blacks are so grey. They dont look black. I am trying to fiddle with settings but this looks more like a TN panel. No smearing no dead pixels, just really poor color grading out of the box and maybe in general.

Got this for my son's 15th, he was upgrading from a 27" flat panel ISP monitor and the results have been quite impressive, especially with paired with a powerful GPU - in this case an RTX 3060 TI. Images are fast and super-fluid thanks to the 144Hz refresh rate - the sheer scope provided by the extra 7" of display size coupled with the smooth curvature greatly enhances immersion, especially in first-person shooters (his current faves: Rainbow Six: Siege and Atomic Heart). Ports are generous and it could function in tandem with another such display if you have the desk space for it (not many will, I'm guessing). Watching Netflix has never looked so good at a desk, if you're so inclined! Brightness level seems great and though I wished it were an IPS disply, my son has not once complained about viewing angles or refresh rates (1 ms)...so I am not concerned. I spent a good deal of time looking at these types of monitors before making my decision - and for the price, this was a fantastic value on a great display!

Beautiful design and picture for an amazing price! I purchased this after I had originally purchased an Asus similar design and price, but was DOA. I love everything ASUS, but was horribly disappointed when I became aware it was dead since it was my Christmas present. This Gigabyte was well worth the wait. I'm a gamer and it plays my favorite (Far Cry 5) extremely well. No issues. I'd purchase this one again without question!

A few weeks after purchasing and it has been working great. Perfect size for my room and console. The resolution is great. The only thing lacking is the speakers but that's not a big issue. Visually, it is great.

    Best Budget UW Alternative

Going 4 stars on this one. Great budget ultrawide monitor. I consider myself a monitor snob, and picked this up as a secondary monitor to my main (32in LG Ultragear Nano IPS - would give that 10out of 5 stars, best there is). First, the two major issues I have with this monitor. the dark color smudging/smearing (ghosting), and the low fps freesync flicker. Freesync Flicker: When frames dip lower than about 43 fps and back up rapidly, it causes brightness flickering. This is something that happens with various panels, but especially VA. I remote into my work pc (60hz) and for some reason when i have the program full screen on this (144hz) it fluctuates like crazy. So either I have to not be full screen, or i need to adjust this displays output down to 60hz to match my work. Smudging/smearing: Like with many VA panels I've had, smudging, ghosting, smearing, dragging, whatever you want to call it - is very noticeable out of the box. I was able to tweak settings to eventually get it tolerable, and in doing so had to wash the colors out a bit when the black equalizer. I can live with it. Otherwise its a pretty great monitor. Brightness is good, a little bit of glare in bright rooms. I suggest checking out rtings.com review of the monitor as they detail a ton and confirm its a great buy. However, i would not purchase it at retail unless your going with the IPS panel version. I got this on a sale for $100 off and it felt like the price to performance ratio was better there. If you dont want to spend $500-$1500 on an ultrawide, this is the one for you. Great budget alternative. Games really well, great for productivity. Speakers aren't the best, but no monitor ever has good speakers.

    Excellently Priced Ultrawide

I've mostly used TN and IPS panels. The VA panel is an excellent in-between. Has more vibrant colors vs a TN with a bit less ghosting than IPS. There will still be some ghosting with darker scenes in games but not as distracting as it is on an IPS panel. It's my first ultra wide and I'm really enjoying the extra screen space for general desktop stuff and great in competitive FPS games. I hear some folks get a bit dizzy from ultra wide screens while gaming similar to VR headsets so keep that in mind. Other thing is the curvature catches a lot of light so if you've got an open window behind you on a bright day, it'll obscure the image quite a bit. HDR for this is use able but kind of bad for a lot of games. I can't find a way to tweak it without it looking washed out.

Overall: If you're looking for a cheap, 1440p, 144hz monitor, buy it. If you're a little bit more stingy or plan on using this for FPS games, feel free to read on. Pros: My unit had no dead pixels. Boxing and protective packaging was pretty good, mine was a little banged up, and it survived without issue. Glossy display finish looks great and the menu nipple is quite easy to use. Stand is a touch cheap, but it does the job. I got mine on sale for $299, which was an absolute steal, even considering my cons below. Brightness is more than adequate for a bright room, however the aforementioned glossy finish reflects a bit more than usual. Cons: Being a more budget model, there are some trade offs. Being a VA panel, ghosting characteristics are VERY prevalent. Out of the box, it felt like it was at 60hz, even though I set it to 144hz; even going into windows settings it looked quite bad just scrolling. You are able to tune it out in the settings, however it kills the color quality, which wasn't that great to begin with. Along with that, the HDR functions aren't that noticeable either. After I got the UFO test to look acceptable, swapping to warzone, fortnight, RDR2 and Rust, I had a hard time accepting the extra real estate an ultrawide provided compared to my Dell S2719DGF that I used prior as my gaming daily. Using the adjusted settings, all the colors are super white washed, and not as nice looking as the Dell, which again, is not a standard in color accuracy by any means. Bottom line: for the price, it's fine, just set expectations. I will likely wind up using this for work as it still functions great as a WQHD monitor for less money than a comparable office grade WQHD. From a gaming perspective, I was disappointed, but from a total value at my paid price of $299, I'm thrilled.

Have purchased 3 of these in total. 1 for my gaming setup, 1 for my best friend's gaming setup, and 1 for my office at work. It's a good monitor for the price and is on sale quite often (all 3 times I bought it). Never had any issues with it. While it's not the most impressive ultrawide on the market, it is worth purchasing for 1440p gaming at the sub $500 price.

My first ultra wide monitor. You couldn’t beat the price for this size. Many pros to this monitor. I’ve had it for remote work and I love it. I do a little gaming but nothing extreme. Might not have the newest tech but it does the job for the price.

Really good looking, I would highly recommend. Every games runs extremely smooth, I play apex legends, Escape from Tarkov, and call of duty. The refresh rate from the monitor provides the option for exceptional gaming. Disney plus movies even run at 4K. Again I would highly recommend this monitor.
