Best Buy is cheating on their open box items- GPU

Purchased Open Box "excellent" which according to BB looks and runs like new and contains all packaging. I received the card in a ziplock bag, no product box or adapetrs/accessories it should have had or paperwork and it had a huge red "open box" sticker on the backplate which left residue. this should have been a "good" open box not excellent and they would not refund me the difference unless I brought it in. I have spent 10K the past year on parts at BB. fed up.

I upgraded from a 3070 and the difference is huge. This card crushes AAA titles at max settings with smooth frame rates and stays cool thanks to the triple-fan Windforce setup. DLSS 3 and ray tracing make games look incredible. It’s compact, efficient, and a great value for high-performance gaming.

Amazing card for 1440p and 4K gaming with DLSS,initially I didn't really need this upgrade it was kind of a impulse purchase however this card is worth for the simple fact you get frame generation which does wonders!.This card is pretty cool and quiet it doesn’t run as hot or as loud as my Asus 3070 did which is a plus✅.Also you are pretty nuch getting the variant of 3090 performance for half the cost so thats also a huge steal !.Very easy to install I thought my current power supply wouldn’t be able to comply being that is was 650W but it was no issue.Great Card all in all performs well in most titles I played it with but I would only purchase this if your gpu is outdated or you really want to experience frame generation otherwise stick to 30 series cards.

Despite the price, The RTX 4070 super has all the needs a gamer and workstation operator needs. With new features such as raytracing, up to date shaders and state of the edge technology and 12 gb of vram, there is anything you can do on todays most intensive games and software with visuals to pair. Games like Escape from Tarkov, Metro exodus, Helldivers 2, Fortnite, and other demmanding market titles have more than enough the capibility to run at almost max settings stablility wise. Its also able to perfectly play older games like Soulsborne series and newest edition like Elden Ring. Overall pretty solid and its fans help ease the heat off the processing.

Amazing product. I have it paired with the old reliable 3900x with 32 GB of RAM and it flies at 1440p Ultra wide. I bought for ray tracing and it is excellent. Even 4K pathtracing in Cyberpunk was just hitting 60 FPS at medium settings. Im personally going to exchange for the 4070 Ti Super since that extra VRAM is needed for ray tracing. If thats not you, this is and extraordinary value card

Works pretty well. Haven't found a game it can't handle yet. It has about the same power as the 3090 and is more power efficient as well. It's case is constructed out of plastic but seems sturdy (you get what you pay for). Packaging was also nice. Does not include RGB. I would say the 4080 super has the same power per dollar but it is at much higher price point.

A bit hard to review considering the wildly fluctuating prices of tech in general today, and price point plays a huge part in a GPU purchase. I bought this at $550 which was around MSRP for a 4070 Super. That was expensive to me because I hadn’t spent that kind of money on a -70 series Nvidia GPU, but if we ignore naming conventions and marketing stuff and focus on pure raw performance, this is a very great GPU. I upgraded my monitor to 4k with this new build and this plays everything I throw at it above 60 fps. I will say not everything will run at native 4k above 60 fps. Silent Hill 2 in recent memory would drop to 45 or 50s in certain areas at native 4k and ray tracing. But again that is pushing this card to the absolute max, and 4k is honestly still tough for any GPU and I don’t think a single GPU has solved this. Once you flip on DLSS or lower the resolution, though, it solves most of these issues. One particular game where I’ve found a limitation for this card is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. This is a 12 GB VRAM card which is an alright amount but nothing crazy at least for today’s games. If a game is optimized well it honestly shouldn’t use even near 12. But we don’t live in a perfect world. Indiana Jones runs amazingly on this card; you can get above 70 fps on ultra and 4k. But once you flip on ray tracing, things take a dive. You can NOT run full path tracing on this game, on a 4070 period. Which is crazy because this was the GPU generation out at the time of its release. Path tracing increases VRAM usage way past this GPU’s capacity and brings you down to 2 fps. So, this was the one occasion I couldn’t even use RTX, one of the advertised features, on a modern game. I will say this is one single occasion and very much partly the game and dev’s fault. But if games keep using VRAM like this, it’s something to watch out for. I realize the 5070 is out at the time of this review. So I probably wouldn’t recommend this card at full price. If you find a 4070 Super on a good sale in 2025 or a couple years later, rest assured you’ll be able to play anything with this.

This card is quite amazing, I was looking to upgrade, but I always look for what is the best price vs quality, and this card is certainly the perfect combination of both. If you are a person that wants to play games and enjoy top quality graphics, but are not a part of the FPS crew (this is what I call the people that seem to think that 100 fps is some how going to make the experience better than ~60 FPS, spoiler, it's not, human anatomy can only handle so many FPS anyways) then this card will fill your needs for an amazing price. It's only clocked slightly under the 4070 TI and the 4080 for up to $300+ less. If you somehow feel that a 8% boost in performance is worth more of your money, then go ahead and waste it.

Great item. Great VRAM. Easy to install with single PCIE input. Works great with every game at max settings at 1080p and maxes out my 165hz monitor, fps wise. Would recommend for the price, (bought at $600)

I Bought this open box and was amazed by the price to performance. Everything was delivers as if new which was wonderful. I do wish there was more instruction included with the product on installation. Just know that you can't daisy chain the power cables. I upgraded from an AMD 6600 and I can now run my most demanding game (Helldivers 2) at 4k 60fps.

I picked this card up while upgrading from a 1080ti. The price-point puts it squarely in the budget top end. If you are someone who doesn’t mind not having the very best but want a powerful card, catch this on a deal. It does require an 8 pin power connection but comes with its own converter which is really nice. Runs lower volts than the 1080ti I had.
