Ridley Scott has an incredible talent for creating historical epics that are substantial real. This 4K version is at is highest quality. One question: why did it take so long for this 4K edition to be released?

Easily among the best movies ever made, see it now. The steelbook is the glossy type that displays far nicer than the matte kind. Contains both Theatrical and Directors cut.

One of the best movies they could’ve Put an 4K Blu-ray enjoyed watching every minute of it with vibrant colors that pop!

It's a fairly straightforward plot but it is well told. I can't wait to try this out on a 4K TV and revisit this classic.

My biggest gripe about this movie is the absurdity of Marcus Aurelius wanting to turn Rome back into a Republic. Will the folks in Roman Britain get a vote in this new Republic or will the franchise be limited to folks to gather in the Champs de Mars like the Old Republlc? The idea is totally silly. Otherwise, it a marvellous movie. Well, the opening battle was a bit silly. Romans didn't use siege engines in ordinary battles. Well, at least the roman soldiers wore red instead of blue...

One of the best films of all time. The new 4K remaster looks amazing and I had never seen some of the added scenes before. A great film and a great addition to anyone with a great TV and surround sound system.

I already had the movie on blu ray but I went to best buy and saw that they had it in 4k and it was on sale. I just watched it yesterday and the quality really makes a big difference.

This movie is a classic and even better on 4k. If you like movies like this it is a must see! I recently got a 110" screen so I can't wait to see it on the 4k projector!

An excellent steelbook for the first great movie of the Millenium. Steelbook includes 4K, bluray plus special features which includes the extended edition. Highly recommended!

This movie won Best Picture & actor for Russell Crowe. It has great fighting scenes & some top notch acting, even if the villain is a bit over the top & creepy. One of Ridley Scott's best films & I had to own on Blu-ray.

If you haven't seen this action/ adventure/ drama you are missing out on a great film. It's Scott's finest work and is dramatically and visually captivating with epic fight sequences- an all-time favorite!

Classic movie. One of the best Hans Zimmer scores ever made. Every cast member nails it. If your looking for some historical action, this is one you shouldn’t miss out on.

This classic is given new life with HDR the colors are vibrant without being over saturated and 4k gives it that clarity and sharpness that the Blu-ray can't compete with!

One of the most exciting movies ever. Russell Crowe is awesome in his Academy Award winning performance in this Best Picture Oscar winner. Joaquin Phoenix is fantastic in his Oscar nominated role as the evil Commodus.

The display case is beautiful, and the Blu-ray presentation was excellent! Extended edition and special features are nice additions, especially for fans of the movie!

Historical Epic Saga! Swords and Sandals became Kin! No surprise, it won the Oscar for Best Picture! Absolute masterpiece; magnificent 4K transfer, great score!

The story and cinema were both excellent accompanied by well chosen characters were all well suited for their roles. Just another well done masterpiece by Ridley Scott. Bravo

Absolutely fantastic and epic movie. This remastered blu ray looks amazing and is much better than the first release on blu ray that had some issues. This movie is an instant classic and should be on any film critics top 100 movies of all time.

Good movie to give as a Christmas gift. I know he will like it. Good story line and very good acting.
