I'd say go for the cheap Amazon knock-off and you'll end up with a much better cable. Mine broke at the part where they unscrew and the internal cables all ripped due to the poor quality components used.

Posted .Sorry to read about your issues with the coiled cable. Could you kindly please check if the connections at every point of the coiled cable are fully connected, especially at the adaptor?
Please be sure that the securing screw from the board cable is closed as the adaptor’s male connection not being fully pushed into the other cord could cause issues. Hope this helps!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a big fan of the look of the cord due to the coil look, however, whenever i got home to plug it in, i noticed that i could only use it if my pc is to the left of me. Since my pc sits on the floor to my right, the cord never sat correctly and was never flat on the desk. When i moved my keyboard at a slignt angle it make it even worse. If i was able to flip the cord to make it work for both sides i would consider getting the cord again

This hindered my ability to place the cable in a nice position on my desk. Also, while the pictures make it look like the outer casing is made from nicely braided fabric, the reality is that it's more like sticky partially melted plastic that makes it feel exceptionally cheap.
