I use it wired and it constantly connects / disconnects its not a laptop issue I tried my other mouses they all worked fine. I got a horrible wired connection constantly making a connected/disconnected noise. The wireless mode has this same issue. Horrible purchase.

As for the wireless connection, can you test keeping the dongle as close as possible to the mouse?
