Terrific actors, great special effects, disappointing story.

First things first, I absolutely love this art on this steelbook. Some people will hate it I'm sure, but it honestly was a big reason why I considered getting this to begin with. After deciding to make the purchase and then watching the film, I enjoyed it quite a bit. A lot of it doesn't make sense in so many many ways, but it's a fun brain-dead film that you can get enjoyment out of. I mean in reality, are we all trying to have some existential philosophical experience when sitting down to watch something? I'd like to think not. Instead, when you just want to watch something to entertain you as movies should, this is a solid choice. It's very similar to the Clash of the Titans remakes.

This one has me on the fence as for rating...I liked all the big names that starred in this movie. Great visual affects, and cool scenes. The draw back is that I have a decent knowledge of Egyptian history and it's hard to see the new movie rendition so to speak.

This is a great movie. Gerard Butler has a great onscreen presence and he carries the movie well as a lead actor. I would like to have seen more battles with other gods but this franchise has to build upon itself. Once again, Great Movie.

Was a pretty good movie I'm glad I bought it. Only complaint is I had to exchange case because there was a dent in it. They need to handle to Steelbook cases better because this is the 4th one I had to go back in and exchange.

Alex Proyas's epic is visually arresting but not too deep. Digitally shot with Red Epic Dragon cameras at 6K, with a 2K DI, it does look and sound great on blu, and has more than a handful of extras.

4k LG 65in with HDR coupled with the Samsung 4k dvd player . This movie's color and computer effects are Hands down the best 4k movie released yet !! I have 13 "true" 4k movies and it beats them all by a mile ! This movie justifies all the money spent for the t.v. and dvd player . It puts the "wow" in wow factor ! This is what 4k is all about !

This was a blind purchase despite the universally negative reviews I'd read. I ended up enjoying this a lot more than I expected. The Blu-ray looks and sounds great.

The concept of this film is great. The cast was spotted on. The special effects were amazing. This movie may not have won awards but, it still is a great movie

Get plot great special effects and a great cast of characters a must see film

If you go into this movie expecting a history lesson you'll be disappointed. This movie is for entertainment only and boy does it entertain. It's a visual feast with rewatch value, but if you like to pick movies apart for their faults, don't bother with Gods of Egypt, just have fun with it!

Even though its a cheesy movie about Egyptian gods, I fell in love. Great actors, great visuals, fun intriguing story line. Would be curious to see if Horis goes to save her from the demons, but who knows. Overall great story. Worth the buy.

Special effects in this movie was very good. The story line is interesting from the creators viewpoint.

The movie was a little off kilter with Gods as big as Giants but a decent plot with a killer cast.
