I really enjoyed this movie's special effects. The story-line was a tiny bit difficult to follow at the beginning; however, as it progressed, it became more apparent. Well worth the purchase.

I really enjoy sci-fi, fantasy movies and this movie was no different. The CGI is well done, and the characters are well written. If you like ancient Egypt, it's a fun take on the ancient gods.

This movie was a bit of a surprise. My boys like movies like Spartacus, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games and knowing their movie taste I took a chance on Gods of Egypt. This movie was full of action that sometimes reminded me of Power Ranger (a movie my boys loved when they were younger). But it also had some cute humor and a message that made it so worth watching.

The story is interesting and the visuals are great. The actors are also perfect for the roles they were cast in. Good movie for those not looking for a serious or Oscar nominating film.

This movie takes great liberty with mythology (Egyptian in this case) to create a unique fantasy tale that doesn't appeal to everyone but I enjoyed it as escapist fun. The special effects are hit and miss, with the major set piece scenes being well done but with some green screen insertions of actors being too obvious (slack post production?). For 3D fans, the work here is middling and enhancing CGI "realness" and some flight based sequences well, but it is hard to justify the price jump over the quickly discounted price of the regular Blu-ray.

I was unexpectedly surprised to find this film both entertaining and fun. A classic popcorn action filled Hollywood extravaganza. Simply stunning to watch in 3D. Gorgeous. Visually stunning.

This is a sit back, relax kind of a movie, and whatever your knowledge of the Egyptian mythology as long as you accept it as just a movie you will be entertained...I was skeptical at first after critics panned it...then I watched it through the eyes of a child and I really enjoyed it, visually great, simple story no complications here, just sheer delight.....

For having such a short run in the movie theaters gods of Egypt turned out to be a good movie, my wife even liked it and she's not really big into sci-fi type movies all in all I liked it.

Great story about the origin & demise of Egyptian gods. Well written and acted, thoughtful direction and character development, good twists & turns, And great 3-D special effects too!

This production was very well done. The CGI is on point to the angularity of the visual concepts. The Gods were physically larger than the mortals and when they interacted, their communicative sight lines were well represented. Best Buy's introductory prices are very attractive and are helping me build a sizeable 3-D video library. I have two 3-D T.V.'s.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this movie, even though I like these type of movies, because Gerald Butler plays the bad guy. But before long you will be rooting for the under dog.

Don't know what all the naysayers had against this movie, it was not meant to be a historical drama, it was meant to entertain which it did gloriously! Glad to have it in our collection!

This movie was very ambitious, but overall was just so so. It has a very contrived and predictable story line, and was not written all that well. I think they had a good concept, but didn't develop the plot enough to make it a hit movie. Having said all that, I think it is entertaining and is a classic tale of good vs evil. The acting was okay, and the cgi was over the top and cheesey, but the costumes and backdrops make the blu ray version worth watching. Not the best movie, but far from the worst I have ever seen.

Hey, I like this flavor of movie - Egypt and Gods. So, the special effects are quite nice and very well done. Plot was ok. Good acting and with some humor tossed in along the way.

I really like movies that have to do with egypt and this one didn't disappoint. However it didn't have much to do with egypt other than it being placed there. action was great though.

We went to the theatre to see this one in 2D and saved the 3D for home consumption. We really like the action movies with special effects and this movie did definitely not disappoint.

Make the popcorn, pour something to drink, dim the lights and hit start! This is not an intellectual movie, you are being fooled about almost everyone's height - just laugh and enjoy.

This is a love story with action and it gets your feet wet in Egyptian mythology. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie by giving me a more entertaining time than expected.

This movie was better than I expected, it was about Moses and his people were in bondage to the Egyptian. How Moses had left Egypt for some time and then returned to free his people.

Surprisingly, I didn't even look at my phone once during this movie! HA! This movie was one my husband picked out and I thought I'd be bored, but I was totally enthralled with it the whole time! If you like period movies like this, you'll love it. A bit of sci-fi, along with Egyptian lore, which was a pretty cool combo if you ask me.
