I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The struggle between good & evil is the perfect premise when it comes to stories about the gods created to explain nature. It also brings out the virtues of human perseverance and to what lengths we go to preserve true love.

It's a pretty standard CGI fest, but who doesn't love a film with Gerard Butler in it playing a villain! I would say you need to enjoy a brainless popcorn film to enjoy this, because if you are looking for more, you have come to the wrong place.

I know this movie gets mixed results/reviews; however I saw this movie in theaters and enjoyed it as well as bought this steelbook edition when it came out. If you go into this movie looking for an enjoyable popcorn flick for yourself or your family, this is a good movie. If you are looking for an very interesting/thought provoking movie as well as perhaps being super nitpicky when it comes to the people who play roles in films or authenticity... This movie is not for you.

I really enjoy this movie because it is full of crazy action. There are so many special effects in this movie and the characters are all so incredible. Very fun movie to enjoy and it looks awesome in 4K

The story is God's of Egypt , but look like super hero movie. It is great visual and action, but too much CG. I'm not much expecting CG to the fantasy movie, but it is full. It mean - good for the action, not good for the love story. It just enjoyable movie.

After hearing several of my friends give negative reviews on the film I decided to ignore them and purchase it regardless. Not one of the best films I've seen but worth the watch...especially in 3D!

I saw the trailer for this movie,and thought it was great concept to put together a movie about egyptian gods.The movie was ok, plot was good,couldn't get past the whole gods were taller then the mortals thing.Just made the movie to reliable on cgi.

This was a fun adventure. Not too deep. Lots of action. Good comic relief. The basic idea is that the Gods of Egypt actually lived among the mortals. The gods are like people, except when they assume other forms, but are twice as big as mortals.

This was a pretty great mythological movie of Egyptian gods. I enjoyed watching and learning about some of the Egyptian gods. Besides learning about them it was also entertaining. I would recommend it for other people to watch. A great family movie.

I really enjoyed the movie.I think some of the other reviews are a bit harsh but I thought it was good.Not the best movie I have in 4K but not near the worst either.I would buy it in 4K again.If on sale it would be a good purchase.

Loved it , hot men, working every minute. Better than most in this genre. Really enjoyed this movie, better than so many of this genre. Will watch many times over I am sure. Love Sci-Fi mixed with mythology and history, makes for great movies.

Gods of Egypt is an effects driven movie that spins a dramatic interpretation around the gods worshipped in ancient Egypt. The story is OK - not blazing any new trails here - it has some good effects in it... well I'd say look for it on sale!

Gods of Egypt [3D] [Blu-ray/DVD] [SteelBook] is an epic film that will take you back into ancient times. Gerard Butler portrays the merciless God of darkness who attempts to take over an empire. It truly is a phenomenal film of good vs evil with stunning action scenes and amazing theatrics. My wife and I were thoroughly entertained from start to finish. The steel book casing is always an added bonus for the most devoted movie collector as well

This is the first movie that I have ever viewed that featured the Egyptian culture regarding their Gods. It was Great! There were surprises and a delineated direction and a well orchestrated script. One of the best movies of the year.

Typical action movie, although definitely not one of those blockbusters. It was interesting to see both Gerald Butler and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the same movie. Glad I waited till the price was low enough to purchase.

I enjoyed watching this movie in 3D on my projector. The colors where vibrant and the action scene were awesome! Enjoyed the plot and though it doesn't go strictly by the egyptian mythology was still an entertaining movie experience.

Don't buy into what the critics had to say. I bought this unviewed mainly for the steelbook. I was pleasantly surprised. Is the movie a classic? No, but it is definitely worth a look for fans of Clash of the Titans and like movies!

This is one of the first movies whereby the Egyptian gods are featured characters. In some ways, they are depicted very similarly as the Greek gods in regard to their attitudes toward humans. Nevertheless, it is a very good movie.
