What a nice surprise to watch a movie and be do enthralled that half the movies in your mind and then comes Godzilla, looking good and angry. I usually take a BR break but couldn't more or put on pause because I was so caught up in it. The CFI is perfect got this movie even though, I didn't notice. Also do yourself a favor and watch with headphones, you're in the middle of it. I love it and glad it's part of my collection.

Not sure I'd spend the money on this one wasn't very entertained

Inadvertently took advantage of the $14.99 3D Blu with purchase of Hannibal S2. Great blind buy deal for this movie. Reason being it's a fun summer movie and makes Godzilla interesting again. Definite plot holes, but the premise of the story and effects carry the film. If going to purchase, go with the 3D version. It looked amazing on the 3D tv.

Overall, a terrific film. It's a shame that the actors that made me want to see it (Cranston, Binoche, Watanabe) are hardly in it. in stead we have to follow Aaron Johnson and Elizabeth olsons characters who unfortunately are not that interesting. However, the effects, action sequences and direction all make up for it's character shortcomings.

I liked the movie because the directory honored the original and stayed true to its story line but turned it into modern times. The graphics are done very well as they hold Godzilla to bits and pieces till the major fight scenes develop up keep everyone wanting to see the big snuggle bear. I give it 5 roars cause they made GD look like old school. the dialogue matched the lips (just kidding). I 'm waiting for the sequel

Godzilla on Blu-ray features sound nearly as big at the monster. Roars, explosions, and screeches thunder through the speakers. The movie itself could have used a bit more Godzilla action, but it is extremely well made and is ideal blockbuster entertainment. Recommended, especially for those who enjoy LOUD movies!

Yet another take on Godzilla - for me a decent "popcorn" edition. The Blu-Ray was clear with good sound, and still looked great on a 4K TV if you wanted to keep the investment down.

Its a good movie as it's own way... but I was kind of disaapointed at the end. I understand the directors creative decision on how he wanted to make the movie. Lets just say he leaves you hanging at most of the scenes in the movie... you really do not see a whole lot of godzilla till the end. His whole idea was saving the best for last instead of giving you a 20 -30 minute godzilla fight scene in the middle of the movie. It really takes away the whole point of the movie... Godzilla. I mean i bought the movie cuz i wanted to see godzilla wrecking havoc. Besides that, the acting was up to my standards, your typical B class actors though. The GCI was top notch... beautiful stuff. I would've rented this instead of buying the movie if i had known godzilla wasn't in it a whole lot. I would say I loved the 1996 godzilla better with matthew broderick instead, despite the fan criticism just because its different from what godzilla is really about.

This godzilla is a fun exvursion for the series. Nothing shines, but holds true to original ideas. As for the description, and part of the reason I made the purchase. It states digital copy, and does not come with digital copy. Bought during the 2017 Black Friday sale, so the price was more than fair.

I grew up watching the old Godzilla movies and was anxiously waiting for this to come out. While this movie is nothing like the originals and lacks the monster fights up close and at times comical, it is still worth a watch. I would have liked it more if it had more monster time, especially Godzilla. The new CGI Godzilla is an awesome sight.

I think that this was one of the greatest Godzilla films of all-time and it also quickly became one of my favorite Godzilla films of all-time. I really enjoyed all of the action, horror, mystery, suspense and drama that has kept these films very entertaining and enjoyable. I also think that "Godzilla" all had a really great and amazing casts, plots and personal/political storylines as well.

Been waiting for this one to come out on 4K ever since I started buying 4K. The steelbook case is not bad but I still prefer the blu ray one I got back in 2014 cause it roared when you pressed a button. Love this movie

I thought the movie was pretty awesome. Godzilla looked and sounded like it was truly alive. The new MUTO's were refreshing different looking and added a new dimension to the movie. I wish the backgrounds of Godzilla, the MUTO's and the happenings at the nuclear power plant were fleshed out more but it didn't take away from the quality of the movie overall. Can not wait for the next Godzilla movie to be released.

I have seen every godzilla movie known to man and i must say this is a truly awesome movie. The story delves a bit deeper into the human side and made the movie more about the people dealing with what is going on. Its almost like godzilla and the day after tomorrow put together. Great story, good acting, hi quality effects and sound.

I watched this the day I picked it up and I think the 4k transfer is excellent but the Dolby atmos is what will really blow you away. If you have a powerful subwoofer and your tv is wall mounted you best make sure that tv is secure because this movie will rattle your whole house.

My boyfriend and I have liked Godzilla ever since we were little. This film was much more interesting then the 1998 remake. What makes the film better was the originality of the Godzilla himself. In the 1998 film he resembled a lizard but in this film he looked more like the monster in the original film.

Finally we have a watchable version of the 2014 Godzilla. Night scenes are much easier to see without unnecessary adjusts to your TVs video settings. This is far and above any previous release and it’s highly recommended.

Good Godzilla flick. Much better than the last garbage.

I have been a Godzilla fan since my youth, and this film is pretty good, although Godzilla himself doesn't have nearly as much screen time as I would like, but when he does, it's always epic!

Good movie. A throwback, really, to the older styles of Godzilla movies. A lot of people complained about the lack of Godzilla and how long the monster takes to appear in the film. found this to be a successful method of story telling and a great way to build suspense. Definitely check it out on Blu-Ray for the THUMPING sound.
