I had read reviews that it took too long before they showed Godzilla. I disagree. If so, then it was hardly noticeable. Simply put.... this version blows away the 1998 movie starring Matthew Broderick. Absolutely loved that this movie featured other monsters and they made it more of a king of the monsters flick. Highly recommend.

I am really not into remakes of the original movies but I knew that the action scenes and sounds would be incredible with my new 3D Smart Wi-Fi Blu-ray dvd player and my Polk Audio 5.1 surround sound system.. Action packed movie and fun to watch again. Although it is a remake, it was incredible. And yes, I will watch it again. :)

Godzilla is an oddity. I love it but it is a slow, glum affair. Not a particularly fun monster mash but as the first entry in this series its more than adequate. Steelbook features decent enough art. 4/5 for me.

I love this movie. I have heard some people say that it is too slow paced, but I like it a lot. The movie has a good story and doesn't rely on special effects alone like some movies do. This steelbook 4k edition is a real nice copy to own. I would definitely recommend it.

If you're a fan of the big guy and have been damaged by that Brodzilla flick from the 90's, then this is the movie that will have you exited for the new generation of Godzilla flicks! It's got everything we want and when He first makes His appearance in this film, you know He's back! You love Godzilla and you already saw it in the theatres. Now ya gotta buy it for your collection and watch it anytime!

Awesome effects, finally got Godzilla right! Never can go wrong with Brian Cranston. Gotta love the change of locations, you can only watch Tokyo and New York be destroyed so many times. Hawaii was a great change of location, still sticks with the whole nuclear pacific theme. Then you get San Francisco and Las Vegas, perfect!!!

i was elated with this remake. The action scenes were intense and the overall feel of the movie was the update I was looking for. Couple that with my favorite star (Godzilla in his fluffy state) and well ...it's worth owning. I saw this in IMAX at the theatre and my family was not interested in going. Later watching the bluray they were like "Wow! That was so much better than I thought it would be!"

I LOVE this movie, they did such a fantastic job with it. At first I just wanted to see it for the giant monster and wasn't really expecting much else as in plot or easily identifiable characters you come to love, but they delivered on plot, depth and one of the best monster movies to date. This is definitely NOT that horrible Godzilla movie from the late 90's/early 2000's with Matthew Brodrick.

It’s the same movie as before, but this time I can see what’s going on. Now is it bright like the GvK trailer? No. Is it more clear than KOTM? Some cases yes Do I recommend this version more than any other? YES! If you’re going to get any version of this film, get the 4K

Much better than the Blu ray version where it’s so dark and impossible to see what’s going on. The sharpness and black levels are much better and you can actually tell what’s going on. This is the best version of this movie you can buy.

I like the ground work laid in this new version of the classic and one of the best movie monsters of all times. The movie is not perfect but you definitely get the feeling of how more Zilla their is to come in the future installments.

To all Godzilla fans, old and new, this movie is the greatest. The Blu-ray is crisp, and it allows you to go to your favorite parts and watch them over and over again. The features are monster (pun intended) and give you a different perspective of all that goes into making Godzilla the king of monster in this modern era.

I ordered the movie online. I appreciate the free shipping and the fact that I don't have to pick up in the store. Very good movie. Outstanding special effects and a better story line than many of the other Godzilla movies that I've seen. I don't think that you can go wrong watching something with Brian Cranston in it.

Godzilla is well made, but with a somewhat shaky plot at times. The acting leaves a little to be desired, but any flaws in the movie are made up for by the star of the show, Godzilla. Yes, there could have been more Godzilla scenes, but the times he is shown are amazing. Godzilla alone gets this movie my recommendation.

This was one of the finest godzilla movies of our time, I must say. The story kept me ingaged and I could relate to the human side of it. What made it not a 5 star for me was the lack of actual godzilla screen time and action. I hope they get a sequel and include the god beast more than what was show in the epic tale.

I loved Godzilla movies since I was a kid, from the old "black and white" movies that were on TV, to today's movies that CGI enhances tenfold. The CGI that can be accomplished today made this movie that more action packed to watch and enjoy. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves CGI and especially "Godzilla".

Such a great Godzilla movie, and the style & imagery on this Steelbook is a great compliment to "Godzilla; King of Monsters" Srteelbook. I'm hoping they release another version of the "Kong; Skull Island" Steelbook, I missed out on it the 1st time it came out.

I am a Godzilla fan and I definitely got to see the big guy lay waste to the countryside. The special effects were fantastic, though on several occasions you have to overlook some of the actions with how in the word could that have happened! Okay, the movie starts off a little slow, but towards the middle it picks up speed and keeps your attention a little better. I was not impressed with the acting as it seems the actors were intimidated by the CGI character (Godzilla). During some discussions with others it seemed as though this was one of those politically correct moments showing how human kinds has abused the planet and was reacting to diminish our interaction with mother earth. Fortunately I'm not one of those so I thought it was entertaining, not for the really young you might want to consider letting those below 13 watch during the daylight and not before bed time.

I grew up watching the old Godzilla movies and even the cartoons. (Anyone else remember the cartoons?) I've seen some of the modern attempts at starting a new Godzilla franchise and they were kind of lame. This one though... In my opinion, nails it! This is the Godzilla I've been waiting for. I only have one complaint and it might be nitpicking... We don't get to see Godzilla enough!!!
