I'm a big Godzilla Fan I've been watching then since I was a child. There have been many that I love and even moved me enough to cry. And I would would put this right up there with some of my all time favorite. I was not disappointed at the movie theater where I watched it twice and I have not been disappointed by my DVD purchase which I have also watched twice so far.

If you loved it in the movie theater then you will love it on blu-ray. Same great picture and sound. Only reason i didn't give it 5 stars was because they didn't show Godzilla to much. I mean the title is Godzilla, why not show him throughout the whole movie. He appears for the first time halfway thru the movie.

The steelbook is beautiful! The film is reminiscent of the old Godzilla movies since we don't get to see him until almost an hour into the movie. The picture and sound are great. I highly recommend this, especially is you are a collector of physical media.

This movie was already a great movie to watch on streaming! The 4K blu ray of this movie makes it so much better of a viewing experience though! I loved the visuals of this 4K blu ray! If you a Godzilla fan or a physical media collector this is a must buy!

Ok I'm biased. Godzilla was my favorite toy and character as a boy so I tend to give every movie made the benefit of the doubt but recently a lot of the newer movies were really bad. This one however harkens back to movies like "The Terror of Mechagodzilla" you actually are in awe of him again. I can't wait for the sequel and I would recommend purchasing this for your collection!

I grew up on Godzilla movies as a kid. They were always great fun with how much mayhem would happen. Watching the tanks trying to blow up Godzilla and the monster he was fighting. This movie delivered what the previous attempt in the 90's did not. A real throw back to the way Godzilla movies used to be like.

The Blu-ray Disc was on the dark side, so it could be difficult to clearly see what was happening in certain scenes. Watching the 4K was like night and day - no pun intended!

I don't understand why people didn't like the movie. The movie has more to do with a Godzilla related incident then Godzilla himself and I feel like that made the movie better. It was not overly singular focused on Godzilla and as such that left more room to tell the stories of those affected by his arrival.

This is a great movie. I know a lot of people complained that there wasn't enough Godzilla in it, but as basically a reboot to the series, the origins and mystery of the character needed to be laid out in this first installment. The acting is very good and there's a whole lot of action to look forward to.

This 4K version has been upgraded to a Dolby Atmos audio, this movie sounds like in the movie theater, you can hear hear all sounds from anywhere and your sub buffer it’s going to make your room shake.

This wasn't a 90's giant iguana. This was back to formula and to a lesser degree back to Toho Studios original. It starts and stays slow with only glimpses of Godzilla until the last quarter of the film. That being said, the authentic Godzilla roar made me tear up just a little on the first reveal. If you're a dedicated fan, you will find things to appreciate about this film.

The movie itself is pretty good, the only bad thing is how long it takes to see Godzilla. I do recommend buying the dvd if you are a fan because you get the dvd, plus a dvd of extras, plus a digital copy of the movie. Getting a digital copy I get to keep for an infinite amount of time is the main reason why I purchased the movie instead of just renting it for a couple of days.

I've loved the big monster movies since I was a kid, and this doesn't disappoint. This is also a lead up to a Godzilla/King Kong movie that I REALLY can't wait for. I knocked one star off because I would have like to have seen a bit more Godzilla in the movie.

This move takes me back to the Saturday afternoon monster theater. The King of monsters is his usual powerful self, taking care of business and leaving no prisoners. If you like Godzilla you will love the movie, if you are new to Godzilla it is a good first start. I hope they make more, he is the movie start that has been on vacation for a while and making a strong comeback!

I love the Godzilla movies. I wish I could say this was a classical Godzilla movie but it is not. I am not saying this is not worth the watch, because it totally is! I really enjoyed the story line and I thought it was very interesting that they made Godzilla a character the viewer could sympathize with.

I wasn't sure about the design of the big man, but I thought this movie accomplished a few great things. It showed that you can make a decent monster movie for NA audiences, and that Bryan Cranston's ridiculous performance was still better than his ridiculous hair piece. Still a good movie for anybody that remembers the old school Godzilla movies and appreciated them.

When I grew up this was a classic I would watch on the million dollar movie in New York. Well in 2014 the remake is fun and if you have 3D like I do you will love to add this to your 3d collection. 3D is very good but I would wait for it to go on sale. $19.99 or less is a good price for any 3D movie

I am a big fan of Godzilla movies, so I had to see this in the theatre. It had a good plot line, a Godzilla monster that looks more closely related to the monster in the older movies and new monsters for him to fight. I was thrilled with the movie and couldn't wait to buy it on Blu-Ray. The 3D is great!

This blu-ray could not look or sound better than it does. The extras could be a bit more interesting, but at least it's not bare bones. Bottom line: If you saw this in the theater and enjoyed it, or simply like kaiju movies, you have to have this blu-ray--especially with a sequel going into production.

Giant apex monsters always look their best best in 4K. Collect all the movies in this series: Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs Kong.
