Poor Godzilla! Loved him ever since I saw the original Japanese made film from the 50's. Other Godzilla movies were stupid, but this one gives the monster his due. True, it's all about special effects, as most films are nowadays, but the story line is good and Godzilla has some personality. He does what he does because that's what he is! He can't help it!

The Godzilla story has been told so many times that the story is getting a little far afield. With all the different versions of the story in the different movies the Godzilla myth is getting confusing. With each new movie the plots get blury. Godzilla destroying Tokyo is the classic in my opinion!

This is a near perfect entry into the Godzilla series. I must agree with most that the movie could have had more of the King of Monsters in the film. That being said, the movie is a must for any fan. The 3D and Blu Ray transfers are perfect. The extra content on Blu Ray and DVD are great overall and provide for some nice added entertainment. Can't wait for the sequel.

I really enjoyed this modern day reboot of Godzilla. Took a slightly different approach from the Japanese original but still follows the point of how humans mistakenly think that we can control nature. Great effects and love the fighting between the monters. And...Godzilla breathes his radioactive blue fire! Now, if only I can forget the 1998 Roland Emmerich version.

I enjoy the movie, but take that with a grain of salt. I'm a huge Godzilla fan, so I went in knowing full well what kind of movie to expect, and my expectations were met. I recognize it's many flaws, but, for me, it's still worth it to watch the big G wreck a couple of very cool original monsters.

I saw this movie in the theaters, and when i saw that it was going to be on sale for Black Friday, I just had to buy it. Only flaw I saw with this movie was that I wish there were more Godzilla fighting scenes throughout the movie, but when Godzilla was fighting those monsters, it was really intense. This movie was much better than the 1998 version in my opinion.

I greatly enjoyed watching this movie in theaters and greatly enjoyed watching the UHD version. It is an upgrade over the blu-ray and the SteelBook is beautifully designed. This is Best Buy exclusive is a great way to pay tribute to Godzilla.

GREAT reintroduction of an #IconicMonster to the movie masses. Overall the film was GREAT, but a semi spoiler would be to inform the masses that Big G was seen maybe 40% of the film and was the ONLY issue I had with the film. That being said this film was to set things up for things to come, establishing storylines and reintroducing Godzilla to a new generation.

The movie had its moments, wether good or bad, but for sure without a doubt this was a good movie. The actors in their part did pretty well, and Godzilla looked like he started lifting, and wrestling other nuclear-hungry creatures. Everything in it was great, except for some minor flaws in it.

Finally! Godzilla and all of his splendor is truly on display for all to see. If the anorexic Godzilla from the 90's was even half as good as this one, I'd recommend that one too. But this is the true Godzilla, and I can't wait for the sequel, even though it's 2 or 3 years off. It does take a little bit of screen time to develop the story, but it's worth it.

Probably my favorite Godzilla movie out of all the other reboots. It looks great in UHD and the steelbook is great also. If you you’re a godzilla fan this is worth having in your collection.

It takes a while for this movie to get into some good action, but the wait is worth it. Godzilla doesn't get a whole lot of screen time here but that just makes his on screen moments that much more awesome. This movie sets the stage well for the upcoming Legendary Pictures sequels.

If you are a fan of the old Godzilla movies, you will love this. Many people complain about not seeing Godzilla enough in the film, but I thought a lot of it was the build up. And it worked. The fight scenes between the Kaiju were incredible, special effects were top notch. Great Sci-Fi film.

Very good movie, very well made. So is this new 4K transfer, where you can see new details in the darkest scenes. And the Atmos sound is PHENOMENAL. Just for the sound alone, worth the buy.

The movie itself was good- nothing stellar, but a solid giant monster movie. Definitely better than the Godzilla reboot from the 90's. Picture and audio were excellent (as they should be on blu-ray). Menus were easy to navigate. My only complaint is that there weren't too many extra features.

Great movie. I saw it in imax and watching at home can't come close to that but I just watched it in 3d at home the other day and loved it. Godzilla isn't in it too much til like mid way but once he comes it is amazing. The story keeps you into the movie til he comes so it doesn't drag

It looks great and you can definitely make out more of the action easier with HDR. Overall, the film itself still holds up great and this new version offers a legitimate upgrade from the blu-ray. Highly recommended before Godzilla vs. Kong!

Most definitely the best of Godzilla remakes! WIth homage to the originals all over the place, this newest rendition of Godzilla takes the genre to a whole new level. Fantastic special effects are complimented by the earth shattering sound, so if you can watch this with a sound system you are in for an epic experience! ..just wish they showed more Godzilla,

I really enjoyed this movie, and I am familiar with the original movies as well. I liked the fact that you don't get to see much of Godzilla through most of the movie, I though it added a touch of suspense to the film. If you enjoy the classic Godzilla movies you should check this one out.

I couldn't wait for this movie to get released on 4K UHD Blu-ray! It looked great and sounded great but I was a little disappointed that the 4K Steelbook always seemed to be sold out!
