Though Godzilla certainly isn't a flawless movie, it is a pretty great one. The spectacle feels true and well-made, compared to the noise and chaos of other blockbusters, and the Blu-ray's image and sound quality are absolutely phenomenal (watch this in surround sound if at all possible).

Great movie, saw in the theater and just had to purchase it for my collection. Was convenient since I had enough reward coupons to purchase the item without having to spend any additional money. Quick in store pickup placed via online and within 30mins I was at BestBuy picking up my order

This movie was awesome. I have loved Godzilla since I was 3 and have watched every Godzilla movie that has been made. Great action, lots of monster brawls and suspense. Just wish Godzilla didn't look so chunky and the main character needed to have a personality or show some more emotions.

Great to see Godzilla done right by us dumb Americans lol. Its a slow build, with most of the monster action in the third act. But on 4k you can actually see it now!

I'm not a big Godzilla fan, but I enjoyed this movie. I asked my husband and he thought that Godzilla was in it enough to make the movie. The special effects were excellent and the story line was engaging. I would say that if are a Godzilla fan that you would like this movie. I thought it was way better than the one set in New York with Matthew Broderick.

This movie is full of atomic awesomeness. Godzilla looks amazingly real. His Atomic Breath is incredible. The enemy monsters known as the Mutos are really cool. Only one problem with the movie is that you don't see Godzilla until an hour in. I really wish they've shown more of Godzilla.

I really enjoyed the new Godzilla film, and after seeing the new Kong I wanted to beef up my monster movie collection, and Best Buy had this gem at an awesome price! The vintage looking slip cover is almost worth the price alone. Which was only $8! Do yourself a favor, if you're a fan of this movie, go get this while you can.

The 3D looks better on my Samsung TV than what we saw in the theater. These films that have many scenes that take place in the night time look so dark in the theaters. I'm sure the glasses they give you contribute to the issue. I've found the they are easier to view on my #D set at home.

In the1998 Godzilla version , with Broderick , Jean Reno , it was a really good movie. But this newer 2014 version , all the CGI and other effects take it to another level. It's the best GODZILLA creature ever shown . The realistic look us incredible , with a full story line of the history behind him. Great action & effects. Epic.

This was an excellent reboot of the Godzilla franchise, although Godzilla was a little late making an appearance. Hopefully the sequel will correct that problem and bring more of the classic monsters back to the big screen.

The movie is so-so, even for lifelong G-Fans such as myself, but I cannot doubt how good this 4K release is. Far superior to the Blu-ray and a digital code is always appreciated.

I got my copy as a store pick up. The Steel book is beautiful. I will admit though, the regular cover looks better. As far as the movie, the darkness from the blu ray release is gone. Making this version better.

Really fun re-imagining of Godzilla. I like the slow build up and tease of giant monster action. The 4k disc looks and sounds great.

Overall, great movie. Great acting, great special effects. Just wondering, why Godzilla only shows up for about 10 minutes. It's a 2 hour movie, but only 10 minutes of Godzilla. They should of named it, “good action movie, and a little bit of Godzilla. Anyways I would still recommend.

So I liked this movie. Liked most of the characters especially Brian Cranston. Wish he was in it more. The action was cool but they seemed to want to tease the action for too much of the movie. That fight at the airport should have been more epic. Still a good movie though.

Some people complain that it's slow developing and not enough of Godzilla was featured in it. But I thought it was well done. The judicious use of Godzilla just made you appreciate him that much more. This was a fun movie and any movie that can transport me back to my childhood, gets a big thumbs up from me. I had a blast seeing this in the theatre.

While this one is WAY better then the Roland Emmerich travesty starring Matthew Broderick it's still not saying much. The reverential approach is right but the script is so boneheaded wrong that's it's almost impossible to stay interested in the first hour. Way too much family drama that goes totally nowhere. The second hour brings a little giant monster battle goodness but the movie cuts away from the action WAY too much. The 3D isn't great. At least not on my Epson 5030 projector. TONS of ghosting. Especially in the dark monster battle scenes. The movie wasn't shot in 3D and the conversion actually gets in the way. Get the 2D version instead. On the bright side the soundtrack is AMAZING. If you have a really good sound system this sucker is gonna knock you off your couch.

The 4K version greatly improves the nighttime visuals. Before you could only see things well if you had a really good TV and room lighting, now it's really great to see in 4K HDR. The expressions on Godzilla are really visible now

Godzilla is back, but in 3D this time. Interesting take on the old Japanese monster movie. Pretty well done and believable acting but with an interesting twist. Don’t know if I would pay to see it at the box office, but enjoyed it at home in 3D!!

After the debacle that was the NYC Godzilla movie some years ago, I went in to this expecting about the same. I was pleasantly surprised. The graphics were decent, though on a 4k TV will still look pretty cartoonish. The story wasn't great, but kept your attention. Many characters seemed only to be in the movie for emotional control only. That was a little annoying as I didn't go into this for story, but for huge monsters destroying stuff. The movie did a good job with monster mashing. It did not however do justice for Cranston. If you want to get this solely because he is in it, don't. If you want it for a good Godzilla story, it's ok if you try not to think about it. If you want it to see monsters fighting and leaving a path of destruction, this movie is for you.
