As an old time Godzilla fan I must say I was impressed with this re-launch of the classic big guy. Although there could have been more monster on monster action the story held up well. Disc 2 has many cool extras; check out Operation: Lucky Dragon and Godzilla: Force of Nature.

I love Godzilla....I mean I LOVE the originals.....this one was good but drags a little here and there. Still a good watch to get you started on the new Monster-verse movies.

Went into this movie thinking it would be the worst movie due to friends and family reviews but it was better then I expected. Interesting concept overall. Didn't know the kid from kick-a** was in here either. 3D was good as well way better 3D then all marvel movies. Thumbs up

A lot of people thought this movie could have used more of the monsters, but I feel that it was true to form with the Toho pictures, unlike the fiasco from the late 80s, which should not have been called Godzilla at all. Great 3d transfer. I can't wait for a sequel or the new Toho releases coming in the not too distant future.

I have other Godzilla movies & enjoy watching them. I wasnt looking at my watch or phone wondering what time it was or how much longer this movie was. It kept me watching & hoping I was right on the next scene. If u enjoy Godzilla .. & who doesnt.. Id say watch this movie.

Great monster movie. It takes the Jaws approach and keeps Godzilla hidden for much if the film, giving him greater presence when he is there. 4K and Dolby Atmos are excellent

Just look at that cover! The steelbook doesn't look this good! The complementary colors, Godzilla looming over a bridge and the water lapping against his leg. This is perfect! Plus, the movie is great, so altogether great job.

This film is great, I grew up with Godzilla being the number one monster that was always destroying Tokyo. The remake a few years ago did not do him justice. Loved the action, sound, effects and cast in this one. Really brought back some good memories and was a great movie.

The reboot of Godzilla definitely played more to the original movie (not the Matthew Broderick one). This was much more of the type where Godzilla was a "good guy" but still causes major damage to everything around him. Enjoyable though with plenty of action & destruction!

I found the movie entertaining. I liked seeing better character development in this Godzilla movie which is an improvement. The monsters that Godzilla fought were a bit dorky!! I wish they would develop more believable enemies. It being in 3D added to the movie.

I'm always up for a good monster flick. This is one of them. The cast does such a good job here but everyone knows who the real stars are... the monsters... and this movie gets them right. The major battle at the end is incredible and just wait for the breath.

I read that this movie was pretty good and, after seeing it, I agree. The story is actually interesting and there's some character depth as well. The monster/action scenes are quite well done. The 3D effect was fine - nice depth of image - and not gimmicky or overdone.

I thought this would be bad, but I was pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is that Godzilla doesn't get a whole lot of screen time. Otherwise a great mindless monster movie.

Overall the movie was pretty good. It did drag out a little longer than expected, but the final act makes up for most of it. Some complain you never really see Godzilla, but I liked the darker atmosphere. And you can't beat the price for $14.99 with purchase of a TV show.

Movie was decent, had a lot of action. There were some parts that bothered me though cause they just didn't film it with common sense. Also they didn't seem to bother to research military protocols for this movie either. Besides that it was decent, will watch it again.

This was just a good movie, so the Blu-ray set with digital copy is a great deal at Best Buy whatever they are currently selling it for. But, I also got this on the Black Friday special so I'm even happier. Best Godzilla since the original Japanese version. True to the feeling of the movies I used to watch on Saturday afternoons.

The item came with 3D Bluray, bluray, dvd, and digital copy. Excellent deal at Best Buy. Obviously if you own a 3D bluray player and TV than it will be a good purchase. At the time I bought this it was a better deal than buying only the bluray/digital copy.

Godzilla is brought back to life with a reboot of the franchise to help introduce him to new comers and also the visual effects are really good when they introduce Godzilla and the other monsters

I wasn't expecting that much from this movie, but for once, Hollywood got a big franchise blockbuster absolutely right. Not too much leaning on a flimsy backstory, Godzilla lets the premise and creatures speak for themselves - and does so with great visual effects.

This movie is excellent from start to finish. My only complaint is that the fighting sequences seem to have been filmed in the dark. It does seem like the director planned it that way though. While it doesn't distract or take away from the overall movie, it does lessen the "MONSTER ON MONSTER" fighting that everyone loves to see.
