While it's not really in the same league as the original film or as silly as some of the later sequels, this Godzilla is fun to watch and takes the monsters seriously. The Blu-Ray has some nice a/v specs and pretty good extras, too.

Godzilla has excellent special effects/CG and even the story line is a little bit unique. Godzilla is more is line with the Godizlla from the older movies than the version that resided in NY. Even though he does look a little overweight, his eagerness to fight is always present in the movie.

This director keeps improving but despite the great effects his human dialogue, while better, is still somewhat lacking. Worth a purchase if you like a more realistic approach to giant monster movies without the camp of Pacific Rim.

Being a Godzilla fan since childhood I was very pleased with this U.S. version. It has a more serious take on Godzilla and the special effects are top notch. The only gripe I have is I wanted to see Godzilla throughout the movie more.

Godzilla, in my opinion was a great classic monster movie In today's cinema. From the visual effects, sound effects and story line this movie was truly a a toast to the classics where we see monster vs. monster. Every movie collector should add this movie to their collection. Two thumbs up!

As a huge fan of Godzilla, I highly enjoy this movie. It's a giant monster movie, and as long as you can remember that I think you will enjoy it as well. The steel case is sharp looking.

My family, particularly my young son, enjoyed this movie. Godzilla's relatively late appearance was not a concern given that the first hour of so did a good job of providing background information prior to the final monster showdown.

This movie was one of the highlights of the summer for me. Pacific Rim tried in 2013 but Godzilla overcame the Japanese phobia and made the movie Matthew Broderick and Roland Emmerich dreamed they could have been a part of, Other than Snowpiercer, my favorite movie of the summer of 2014.

I love the casts in this movie. They were very good and entertaining.Godzilla was gigantic and fearsome. I sure would like to see this monster meet KONG from the Skull Island. This'll be a box office hit!

This was a good remake of an old school classic. The movie started a little slow but it was necessary to build up to when Godzilla finally showed up. Once he was unleashed the movie was everything I expected. Entertaining movie.

I remember Saturday afternoons watch double features of Godzilla movies. This movie is a throwback to those days.The 3D effect are good-average, but movie is great. Great for children of all ages, even the 40 years old variety.

If you like Godzilla you’ll love this movie had to get it to add to my collection of all the Godzilla movies lots of action and cool scenes. I really like the 4k version.

If they make more Godzilla movies in the future I would consider this a good start to a story. I feel they finally perfected the CGI Godzilla, but I wish to see more Godzilla and less humans in the next film.

I like all of the Godzilla movies, this one did not let me down either. Very entertaining Great action and fun to watch.Definitely get this movie especially in steelbook. Great movie.

I have to start off by saying this is SO much better than the Matthew Broderick version! Good story and characters, Godzilla is handled well her and goes further into some of his abilities that fans of the Tokyo movies will appreciate. I love the special features here too.

I really liked the plot however Godzilla himself seemed to be lacking. He reminded me more of the old school puppet Godzilla while I preferred more of the sleek style of the 1998 version of Godzilla. But overall a good movie.

Godzilla and the Monsters are definitely the stars of the show, but following the random marine around is pretty pointless. They could have taken him out of the picture, and the movie would have probably been better.

Godzilla was a great movie! I didn't care much for the 1998 Godzilla remake starring Matthew Broderick, but I loved this one. This Godzilla was like the Godzilla of the movies I watched when I was young, but it wasn't as hokey as those movies. I would recommend this movie to anyone!!

I am not very familiar with the original Gozilla movies, but I thought this remake was well done. Good story line, exciting action scenes, not overdone CG mush. And great monsters! I was really rooting for Godzilla at the end.
