I think this may be the best re-imagining of Godzilla yet that's still loyal the the TOHO original.

I used to watch the original Godzilla movies as a kid and even back then I was bothered by the cheesiness and fake special effects. This movie pays tribute to the original, but is very well made. It has a great plot and kept me on the edge of my seat.

Love this movie. Godzilla is treated like a spectacle. Wish they would get rid of black bars on the screen. It sounded great on my 7.1 surround sound system.

Cool looking steelbook. I prefer the 3D Blu-ray of this movie so I only bought this for the Steelbook case. I haven’t, nor do I have the desire to watch in 4K.

Classic monsters movie - big, bad monster(s) tries to fight "good" monster Godzilla. Bad guy loses, good guy wins, all of San Francisco is homeless. Joking aside, I did enjoy this movie. The effects and sounds were amazing and the Godzilla mouth-last blast sealed the deal. I did, however, have a problem with the characters. And by that, I mean they were as developed as an over easy egg. Little character progression and add bring/predictable as a back story could be. All that being said, the movie was still fun to go through. I would consider renting instead of buying.

Cool special effects. decent story. better than one would expect after that matthew broderick movie. I would enjoyed seeing more of the little guy (Godzilla) fighting during the day and not at night.

If you have any doubts, dismiss them. This is a great movie, and buries the Broderick version. Nice throwback to the b&w Godzilla movies too. If you're a Godzilla fan, you won't be disappointed.

A legend reborn - the original monster - godzilla. The cinema was excellent. Special effects were awesome. The acting was ok. The fight scenes between the monsters was amazing. All around great film.

Major improvement with the dark lighting. Film looks great, although it lacks in the special features department.

Having been a fan of Godzilla's since the 60's, I've enjoyed every one of Godzilla's changes. It shows how different he is to different people. This change is not disappointing, the men in rubber suits are gone, but Godzilla will live to change again.

Much better than the movie that came out before. Godzilla isn't on the screen a lot, but I enjoyed it. If you're looking for non-stop action and Godzilla to dominate, then you might be disappointed.

Don't be scared if you saw the last Godzilla movie - this one is a lot better. Can't say there is much story going on here that worthwhile, but miles better than last. Added Bonus - Bryan Cranston.

Amazing Steelbook and a pretty good movie.Perfect time to drop this with the release date of Godzilla vs Kong.It’s an amazing Steelbook with beautiful detail.

Far better than any of the existing big studio produced Godzilla movies, nothing tops the original Japanese films but this introduces Godzilla to a younger more Special effects hungry crowd

The movie is a very good movie to watch late at night with friends when you're having a few drinks. It is not recommended for a couple to enjoy an evening movie. It is still a very good made movie

This 4K brings the movie to life with color corrected 4K resolution. Now you can see what happens at night. See the movie that started the Monsterverse.

bought this dvd to watch with my grandson. got our snacks all lined up and started the movie. each of us kept pointing things out to each other. Godzilla is a great movie to watch with your 6 year old grandson. enjoyed it a lot. great quality time.

This Blu-ray was a very good transfer and presented the film in high-quality. Glad that 3-D was offered. As well, very happy the ultraviolet copy was included. A great addition to any collection.

Pretty good movie, wish they showed Godzilla fighting more. They made Godzilla looks good all most like the old style. Just glad they didn't try to remix him like the unspoken Godzilla '98 movie.

This movie makes you want to be part of a world where monsters are hidden from society. It was designed to surprise and scare audience but honestly it just made me more excited as the scenes becomes darker and Godzilla came out of the shadows
