Great companion for Peter Jackson's King Kong
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw it in theaters in 3D and I couldn't wait to get it on Bluray. Naturally, even in a monster fight fest like this, there has to be a plot. Not surprising, it centers on a family that includes someone in the military. We get involved in the story of this one family as they try to survive what could possibly be the end of the world. What makes this Godzilla more interesting than recent efforts, is that Godzilla is Earth's salvation instead of it's destroyer. Thanks to the advances in computer special effects, gone are the actors in rubber suits and puppets fighting on miniature replicas of cities or terrains. One might argue that Godzilla might have put on a little weight, but that aside, the battles are fantastic and the story keeps you interested in. This movie proves that Godzilla is indeed the king of the monsters.
