Most people hear Godzilla, they think of the gigantic Japanese lizard that destroys Tokyo and fights Mothra. But this movie breaks that cliche, big time. It focuses mostly on the people affected by Godzilla's presence and hardly shows the monster until its relevant. And the action sequences are incredible. I won't say too much so as not to spoil the film.

I will be completely honest, i hated this movie when i saw it in theaters. I was bothered that after seeing previews showcasing a large amount of Godzilla and battles, the film itself is very thin on monster action and the big buy. The characters/acting were uninteresting, except for one Bryan Cranston, and nothing else seemed to blow me away. After taking some time and seeing friends love the movie, I decided to give Godzilla another shot on 3D Blu-Ray. I am happy to say that I did enjoy Godzilla more the second time, but it still has its problems. The somewhat lackluster performances and hidden Godzilla still bother me a little bit, but overall now I see the film in a positive light. The 3D was incredibe during well lit scenes and just good during darker ones. If you were disappointed with Godzilla on first viewing I recommend giving it another chance.

Godzilla is entertaining. It's different though... and preconceived notions could get a viewer in trouble. I don't wish to ruin the storyline... I will say that Godzilla isn't shown that much during the movie. If you are looking for something similar to the most recent King Kong film, this is not it.

Great movie highly recommend it! The steelbook looks SICK and the movie looks amazing in 4k. You're considering getting this movie, watching it in 4k is SO worth it! It's a larger than life experience!

Got this one for a great sales price... This is a great "homage" to the old Godzilla series we know and love. There were a couple of silly things in the flick but nothing that derails it or is really too distracting. Sound and visuals were really good on this title so I would recommend it.

I'm usually not a big fan of all of these reboots, but I never got into the original Godzillas. I didn't like the Matthew Broderick version. I was excited about this one. I absolutely loved it. I have nerdy friends that can nitpick vs the originals, but as someone really seeing the story for the first time, it was awesome!

This movie could have been amazing. There was too much focus on the WRONG human characters. Godzilla wasn't in much of the movie, but when he does show up, it's pretty intense. I'm looking forward to sequels and hope we get more of the King.

I was skeptical because "Monsters" wasn't that good but Gareth didn't let us down unlike the film that shall remain nameless and brings shame to Broderick. Awesome fire breathing scene and roars. Cant wait for sequel which is proposed as a pacific rim crossover.

While it may fall just short of being a great movie, there is no doubt Godzilla (2014) is a very good, entertaining film that will satisfy any fan of the Big-G and erase the memory of the 1998 travesty. This is a visually stunning film.

Having grown up with the likes of Ultraman, Superman (in black and white), etc., I have a tendency to stick with the old classics, but this movie changed my opinion. Don't get me wrong, the old movies and TV shows are still the best, but this remake of Godzilla was pretty entertaining to watch.

I missed this movie in theaters so I decided to buy it when it when on sale at Best Buy. I thought it was a superior movie to the last remake but still missing something of what made the old movies special. Either way I enjoyed the movie.

This new Godzilla is a great reboot of the franchise. It has new ideas that work and respects the original integrity of Godzilla. The 3D version is the one to get because it is more immersive and the sense of scale is fantastic.

I recommend this to version of the film to both movie lovers, fans and collectors. For couple dollars more you can get a collectable metal pack that includes both blu ray and dvd plus digital download. Like the doesn't sound good enough already there is a button that roars!

Don't go into this expecting a Japanese style Godzilla movie. Although Godzilla himself isn't in as much as the movie as I hoped, when he is there, it's an amazing spectacle. Walter White does a great job in this role

I think that this is one of the most underrated movies. I watched in Apple TV when it was first released and I immediately wanted to watch it again - especially in 3D. The 3D/BluRay combo pack finally went on sale in December. I cannot wait to watch it again - in 3D!

I love BLU RAY's, and I love them even more when they are packed with great special features. I HATED this movie, so painfully boring, but the supplemental material is GREAT and the blu ray LOOKS top notch!

This is a really good movie! The fight scene at the end of it makes up perfect for the new remake of a classic. I really like it also because Michael Cranston is in it and he is in my favorite show "Breaking Bad". 4 1/2 Stars in my book!

After watching I had to look at the case again to make sure I bought Godzilla and not something else cuz I was mad that they would show Godzilla fighting for like 10 seconds and then go back to the main character running around..like WHO CARES ABOUT THE HUMANS! WE WANT TO SEE THE FREAKING MONSTERS FIGHT! This movie had an ok 3d..don't think it's worth it. I'd just get a regular 2d bluray..and even say it's just worth renting. Rent it, watch it, if you like it then go ahead and buy it. 3d set 19.99 when I bought it.

I picked up this movie on Blu-ray because it was a great price. I was also looking for an epic movie with big sound and visuals to watch on my home theater. It's entertaining!

Purchased this for my son who is a big Godzilla fan. We saw it in the theater and enjoyed it so I purchased this as a birthday gift for him. Quality of the Blu-Ray was excellent.
