This is a pretty good Godzilla movie that is fun for the entire family. Some of the battle scenes are very dark because it is at night but the bluray version is very clear copy for that.

Well I think the west finally got the formula right for a Godzilla movie. They've messed this up for so long is a welcome change to get it right and man was it enjoyable. Reminds of the old days when Godzilla vs anyone would be on on a Saturday afternoon.

This version is infinitely better than the cheesy Matthew Broderick version. Would like to have seen more character development, but thought acting was fine. Liked it enough to add to my home collection.

The movie starts a little bit slow but then picks up. I would have liked to see Godzilla appear earlier, however, the suspnse that was built up makes for a good reveal. I'd recommend this to my friends.

Forget the slow pace and dark picture. Turn out the lights and let Godzilla brighten the screen with his blue fire breath. The only time Godzilla looked better then this is in the sequel.

Enjoyed the movie when it came out and the features are cool as well, definitely a must buy for Godzilla or monster fans, and light years better than that Godzilla 1998 abomination with Matthew Broderick

I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. It started slow and did show Godzilla as much as I'd like but I was still awesome. I have recommended this movie to everyone I know. It definitely needs to be a part of everyone's movie collection..

the action scenes with Godzilla were good but, when it came to any kind of storyline, the movie was weak in that aspect. Must get it in Blu-ray so the action is magnified and makes up for the weak plot.

This is by far the best Zilla movie in a long time. It doesn't really try to reinvent Zilla like the crumby 1998 film did; it gets back to old school Zilla. The 3d was so so, possibly b/c there are a lot of dark scenes that don't seem to fare well in 3d.

This was a good Godzilla movie, much better than the Matthew Broderick reboot a few years back. I just hope the sequel can build upon this film. Lets face it, most sequels are not as good as the first.

The movie was better than I expected it to be and well worth watching on a large screen. I particularly enjoyed how Godzilla was portrayed in the film; a much more satisfying role then in prior films.

This is a good movie and it is kind of campy but it will give you plenty of entertainment. The movie is done very well and the packaging is very good. It's great that the movies now come with both digital and standard def DVD.

My son is 8 years old, about the same age I started watching Godzilla monster movies years ago. Its great to see the Godzilla franchise revisit its roots. Godzilla (1998) was OK, but it just wasn't like the old ones. There should be many more to come!!!

Great Black Friday deal! One of the best Godzilla movie that has a good story plot. Picture and sound quality is without a doubt the best around.

I used to watch the original Godzilla movies as a kid and even back then I was bothered by the cheesiness and fake special effects. This movie pays tribute to the original, but is very well made. It has a great plot and kept me on the edge of my seat.

Classic monsters movie - big, bad monster(s) tries to fight "good" monster Godzilla. Bad guy loses, good guy wins, all of San Francisco is homeless. Joking aside, I did enjoy this movie. The effects and sounds were amazing and the Godzilla mouth-last blast sealed the deal. I did, however, have a problem with the characters. And by that, I mean they were as developed as an over easy egg. Little character progression and add bring/predictable as a back story could be. All that being said, the movie was still fun to go through. I would consider renting instead of buying.

Cool special effects. decent story. better than one would expect after that matthew broderick movie. I would enjoyed seeing more of the little guy (Godzilla) fighting during the day and not at night.

If you have any doubts, dismiss them. This is a great movie, and buries the Broderick version. Nice throwback to the b&w Godzilla movies too. If you're a Godzilla fan, you won't be disappointed.

A legend reborn - the original monster - godzilla. The cinema was excellent. Special effects were awesome. The acting was ok. The fight scenes between the monsters was amazing. All around great film.

Having been a fan of Godzilla's since the 60's, I've enjoyed every one of Godzilla's changes. It shows how different he is to different people. This change is not disappointing, the men in rubber suits are gone, but Godzilla will live to change again.
