This review is more based upon my ignorance of getting the wrong movie than anything else. I wasn't paying close attention and thought this was the 2014 Godzilla when I bought it (AND opened/watched it). If Matthew Broderick is your thing, then knock yourself out. However, I think 4K is better served by not remastering a 1998 movie such as this.

Considering this is a 90s movie and the cgi back then wasn’t that great, the resolution looks like the visuals have been updated or look a lot clearer. This 4K version is a winner. Just a popcorn movie sit back and relax and have fun kind of movie. Nothing to be taken serious. Not the Godzilla you’re expecting but it’s enjoyable nonetheless.

Ok movie from the late 90’s about Godzilla. The 4K transfer was very well done though.

What is there to say about this movie that hasn't already been said? The collector in me loves owning every Godzilla film, but it's ridiculous to have this in 4K and not 2014 Godzilla. It's got great picture and sound quality, but the film itself isn't really worth owning- unless you are a film nut.

For being a twenty year old film, it really shows how far we've come in terms of CGI

Great classic Godzilla. Not great special effects but sometimes it’s the story.

People hate on this movie. But I do not.....much. This movie is what first got me interested in Godzilla. It may not live up to Godzilla of old, however it is a fun action cheese fest that still deserves to be celebrated. Maybe if they had a diffrent title like The Iguana-Nator or....... GODZILLA:'S NOT SO POWERFUL 3RD COUSIN TWICE REMOVED

Definitely far from the best attempt at Godzilla, but the PQ is excellent.

Its a ok godzilla movie. Good special effects but the storyline is dry.

I liked it but it was just an O.K. type of movie for me out here.

movie itself feels dated but the atmos and picture quality is a winner

While it doesn't really feel like a Godzilla movie, this is still an entertaining popcorn monster flick. The cgi hasn't aged well in some cases, and 4k only exasperates the lower resolution images, but I think it is still a fun movie. The Dolby Atmos upgrade is quite nice.

The 4K upgrade looks and sounds pretty good. Some of the special effects are just of the time but overall I glad to have this on 4K, it's worth the upgrade.

Movie is OK. Better Godzilla films around. But this film surpasses the Blu-ray by leaps and bounds. Although most of the film is shot in darkened locations this film is sharp. And the audio is unbelievable.

Watched this last night haven’t seen it since early 2000s and I was amazed how good this movie held up the special effects still looked really good and I’m watching on a128 inch screen. I was blowing away by the new atmos track this movie never sounded better.
