The Best BROSNAN Bond - Hands Down
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the one and only good Brosnan bond movie. Brought it back from camp - very good. Looks pretty good on blu but packaging is kinda ordinary. Also, it has an awesome score by Eric Serra who does all the Luc Besson films!

1st Brosnan Bond Film
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A film barely memorable, except for it being Brosnan's beginning as a whining, self-pitying character. Barely a Bond for this and the rest of his entries into the Bond series.

Typical Bond Action
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bond is back, and he's pretty good, not great. The Blu-Ray is a decent version, but it lacks some features other premium discs have.

Good

One of the best Bond films
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my favorite Bond film after Goldfinger. Aside from having some of the most memorable characters in the series and some of the best action sequences (including an extraordinary tank chase and a great final fight), it actually has an interesting plot. This is the first Bond movie made after the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Soviet Union. Bond is assigned to find out about the theft of an old Soviet weapons sattelite called Goldeneye that can fire an electro-magnetic pulse that will knock out all of an area's circuitry. Bond's nemesis in this film is Alec Trevelyan, the ex-006, who was presumed dead and has returned to steal the Goldeneye with a desire for revenge against the British governement. Pierce Brosnan plays James Bond for the first time in this film, and he fits into the role like a glove. He's more of a suave gentleman spy than an action hero, but he still pulls both of Bond's sides nicely. It is great to see the verbal showdowns between him and Trevelyan as opposing sides of the same ideology. Goldeneye is the perfect balance of plot and action for a Bond film. If you haven't seen it, get it. If you have seen it but don't own it, get it. You can't go wrong with this one.

Goldeneye What's Your Secret?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of my favorite 007 films of all time. It has all the right feels. The first and probably best Pierce Brosnan as 007 films there is compared to the later ones, which became far goofier. A dark tale filled with a twist betrayal. Plenty of great action throughout with an excellent cast of actors. An excellent transfer to bluray compared to the original. A definite must buy for those that haven't seen it or are a collector of 007 films. However if you're looking for every film and not as 'selective' on your favorite ones from each era, go with the ultimate collection.

Pierce Brosnan's first Bond movie
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GOLDENEYE is Pierce Brosnan's first James Bond movie after replacing Timothy Dalton who chose not to return to the Bond movies. Brosnan is pretty good in the 007 role, but not as good as Sean Connery and Roger Moore. The biggest negative of the movie is the plot about turncoat MI6 agents and White Russians which is mediocre even for a Bond movie. Another negative is the annoying Bond Villain played by Alan Cumming who gets his deserved fate at the end of the movie----I wanted him to be killed off much earlier in the movie. Sean Bean (GAME OF THRONES) is good at playing the Bond Villain and Bond Girl/Villian Famke Janssen is also impressive. Perhaps the highlight of the movie is Brosnan driving the Russian tank in one of the best car chase scenes ever. Joe Don Baker is good at providing comic relief as Bond's CIA ally. GOLDENEYE is the second best Pierce Brosnan Bond movie with TOMORROW NEVER DIES being the best.

Finally! Goldeneye on Bluray!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally released as a single Bluray! Picture quality is good but not the best. It is a huge improvement over an upscaled DVD, but it is the weakest of all Bond Films based on picture quality. Film is exceptional like it has always been. Fans of the films should pick up this release. Recommended.

Bond is back!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Following the unwatchable Licence to Kill, we had a six year wait which, thankfully, proved to be worth it with Pierce Brosnan making a fabulous debut as 007. He's matched by terrific villains (Sean Bean & Famke Janssen), a sexy ally (Izabella Scorupco), and a new superior (a perfect Dame Judi Dench).

The first and Best of Peirce Brosnan as bond
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first and the best for Brosnan as James Bond. This is another good quality Blu-ray to have in your collection. There are a few adult moments to shield the children's eyes. Excitement from start to finish of this movie.

James Bond, Meet Pierce Brosnan
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pierce Brosnan's first Bond film is probably his second best. It co-stars Sean Bean as one of the best villains of all time. However, the henchwoman, played by Famke Janssen, is horrible! It is still a great movie, though.
