If you're a Robin Williams fan. This is Robin at his best.

How does one describe any comic movie made by the late Robin Williams other than madness in a hurricane. While portions of this movie may appears to be 'over the top" for the younger crowd they need to remember there was a war on in Vietnam and young, U.S. soldiers were living and dying there. It was the voice of the Army radio DJ's that provided a tie to home, comic relief and news. The quality of the digital transfer is superior.

Good Morning, Vietnam, amazingly finds humor in the American quagmire in Southeast Asia. Its success is largely due to the comic genius of Robin Williams in one of his greatest roles as an Army radio DJ, as he improvises much of his "on-air" performance and shows his acting brilliance in the scripted dialog. He struggles and ultimately finds humor with which to provide comfort and relief for his fellow soldiers. A great movie in every respect.

Great movie that is funny! Got it at a great price.

Would but it again if I had too was well worth buying

Everyone knows Robin Williams is one of the greatest actors in cinema. He has done comedy, drama, some action, such a wide range of talent. Films like Moscow on the Hudson, The Fisher King, Popeye, and a boat load of other. Good Morning Vietnam is a highlight of his comedic talent, raw, witty, and emotional. Based on a true story makes the film even better. Williams will go down with the greats in cinema history!

On a military radio station in a war zone, Robin Williams, in the role of an Army DJ, has the opportunity, and does play the role to the hilt, as he literally plays himself. The conflict with his superiors' admonitions to 'tone it down' and his desire to entertain the troops to help them forget where they are for a few moments, creates the perfect battleground for his comic brilliance.

One of Robin Williams' best performances. His funny, irreverent portrayal of an Air Force DJ at an Army command during the Vietnam war is top notch. It is both hilariously funny and deeply touching. This is NOT a movie for younger kids, but it is a good movie for parents to watch with their older kids to open conversations about war and that important era in history.

I didn't see this movie when it was released in theaters. It was wonderful to see the late Robin Williams in a military-based comedy. Since I'm a vet and was stationed in Korea where the only American radio we had came from AFKN, I could relate to the importance the radio and Stars & Stripes had in connecting GI's back to the U.S. when we were so far away from home. It was nice seeing how some of the career soldiers in the military tried to be so strict with regular Joes just making the best of a bad situation with the goal of returning home to our loved ones. The movie was very-well done and entertaining.

One of Robin Williams best pieces of work! A lot of it was add libbed which has always been one of his strong points. Great story, great actors, and a great price it five dollars for the Blu-ray. Plus a few documentaries! Great all around!

This is a true Robin Williams classic. Once you’ve seen it you’ll never forget Adrian Cronauer (played by Williams) call his signature opening of his radio show during the Vietnam war: “Good morning Vietnam!” As for Best Buy, I was able to pick this up for less than five bucks!

This is one of my fave movies from ROBIN WILLIAMS! And this anniversary edition is loaded with bonus material that makes this version a true gem! For anyone who had liked this movie in the past , even if you alrady have it on disc - this anniversary edition is worth the money!

Want to see Robin Williams cut loose and have some fun? Movie has a good cast and even though they took artistic license with the story it is entertaining. I think the picture on this Blu-Ray is better then the picture on the big screen back when I saw it released at theaters.

Never a dull moment with Robin Williams. He really shines in Good Morning Vietnam. He is very believable as the main character even as he completely rolls with such ease. If you want to laugh, this is a great choice to add to your collection. It is well cast & enjoyable.

Enjoyed this movie the first time that I saw it. Enjoyed it again and it looks better on Blu Ray. Robin Williams acting was great and he will be missed. It has to be one of his best serious acting roles.

A classic film I am happy to have as part of my collection, and for the price it just made since to relive my childhood with this product

This is truly a classic and really brings Mr.Williams talents to the forefront even with such grim subject matter as the Vietnam "CONFLICT" . This is among many of his truly memorable moments and if your a fan and have never seen it must do so ASAP.

This was a movie that defined his improvisational career and the ability to do more than just be funny. He was great in this movie and his humor while brash, was hilarious and I would watch it more than once. Williams was great in this movie Thumb's up

This movie shows multiple views on the Vietnam War and does in with humor but also has a very serious side as well. It is not true to the actual events but Robin William character did exist but was not as outrageous as he is, but than who could be.

One of my all-time favorite movies starring one of my all-time favorite actor-comedians, Robin Williams. Based on true story. Serious action, great humor, horrors of war...it has it all.
