Great video quality. Great presentation of a classic film.

I love this film and I picked it up to watch it again.

I would love to review this item except I have no idea how it ends. The DVD that was sent to me was missing the ending of the movie. The case said the movie was 146 minutes but the movie cut off and did get the last 30 minutes. So disappointed!

After a rocky history of home video releases Goodfellas has received the release it deserves with this new 4K restoration by Scorsese and sporting a new HD audio mix which is a huge improvement over the previous Blu-ray's DVD-era 5.1. mix. Extras are the same as the previous release except for the new documentary on Scorsese's mark on the crime genre and the hardcover booklet featuring plenty of great photos as well as words on the influence of the film.

Listen up! There would be no Sopranos if it weren't for Goodfellas. This movie was so good that basically a somewhat TV spinoff was made. I have yet to see a better mafia movie than Goodfellas. The only movie that came close was Casino and only because it was the same director. I repeat, if you've ever looked at the Sopranos you'll definitely recognize familiar faces in this movie. The bottom line is...it's a classic...BUY IT!!

Very good picture, real 4k. Not a 2k upscale. Audio isn't something people come to this movie for but that's not bad either. One of the better looking steelbooks available right now. Probably not worth a double dip since it's the same disc as the old 4k release, but if you've never bought it before...this is the one.

Goodfellas is 30 years old but despite the age, it could still hold up to & surpass the movies of today. I don’t know if it’s a classic like Scarface or The Godfather franchise, but it’s close. And to top it off I really appreciate that it’s been brought to the Blu Ray generation where it looks & sounds better than ever.

What can you say about what is a near perfect movie. Most of you reading this already know this film. I did. I bought this because, though it is often on some channel on cable, it is so much better to watch it without all the intrusions of commercials. If for no other reason I found this to be a worthy purchase.

Goodfellas on blu-ray looks great and serves as a good upgrade to previous dvd editions. This set includes all the features from the previous two disc edition on one blur-ray disc which is cool. As for the film itself , I believe if you have seen it then you already know what a great film this is, and if you haven't seen this then i envy you because watching a film like this for the first time is a great experience, so by all means check it out.

Everything about this film is a masterpiece. From the performances, to the narrative, to the cinematography, GoodFellas delivers a riveting film that rivals and likely surpasses any gangster or crime film in the genre. While Scarface may be more heralded, GoodFellas is every bit its equal, and then some. Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Ray Liotta deliver A+ performances, while Scorsese crafts a timeless classic.

First of all, this movie is a classic and should be owned in 4K. The whole movie always has action or drama going and it never gets boring. The movie is fullscreen and the sound will be much better than any other format. Definitely recommend this as it only goes in a stock for short periods of time.

It’s the best mob movie by far (I know, I know…The Godfather). But this movie to me is the best overall movie with great acting. It still holds up today & I will stop in any channel it’s playing on. It’s nice to have the unedited version. Great deal.

This is, hands-down, the greatest mafia movie ever made - bar none. Bobby D & Martin Scorsese at their finest! The SteelBook is of excellent quality & the 4K HDR transfer serves its purpose extremely well. Goodfellas is simply a masterpiece that will forever stand the test of time!

After Goodfellas Blu-ray received a welcome upgrade for it’s 25th anniversary, it looked like a completely different movie, I was excited to see how the new UHD format would handle the 4K source that was created for the 25th upgrade. Unfortunately not very well. It’s watchable but the upgraded Blu-ray, included here, actually looks better. Blacks are too bright and often over power any detail during dark scenes. I also never noticed one instance of HDR or a wider color gamut than what the Blu-ray Disc had shown. The movie itself is essential to any video library but for the money I’d just get the Blu-ray.

You will spend more money for this Steel Book version but you definitely will not be disappointed! It literally has everything and the additional extras in the making of this movie also makes it worth the added expense!

of course one of the best gangster movies to date...but to see it in 4k and to hear it in dolby atmos is over the top excellent. i seen it on blu-ray and it does not even compare . so for those who have the tech in your home i urge you to see it in 4k. no more needs to be said.

Goodfellas remains one of, if not my favorite, Scorsese movies. I was on the fence to get this because of some up and down reviews for the 4K version but glad I did. There is more grain than a newer movie but the UHD version adds more depth to the color palette to make the experience this movie is even better. Recommended.

Goodfellas is a true classic, one that deserved a 4K remaster. Thankfully, we now have this excellent edition of one of cinema's best films. It's very useful to be able to watch this movie on the go (via digital streaming) and at home (via either the 4K Blu-ray or the standard Blu-ray). I highly recommend this edition to all the goodfellas out there!

One of the greatest movies ever made, not JUST a MOB movie, simply said, a classic. The 4K looks great and is a great upgrade for this masterpiece by Scorsese. You will never go wrong buying this film and watching it over, and over. Each viewing offers new admiration for this brilliant film. I cannot recommend highly enough.

No disrespect to Bluray.com but I truly believe their recent review of this film in 4k should be taken with a grain of salt. I thought the presentation looked fine. Lovely 4k/ blu-ray combo package of the best gangster movie since The Godfather Part 2. Nice set of special features too, including the classic Bugs Bunny cartoon Racketeer Rabbit.
