||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My daughter has used chromecast for netflix,etc for years, and that has been great when I visit her and we watch series & movies together. I only got a digital TV a very few years ago. I do not regularly use a smart phone, so I didn't think chromecast was for me. I hooked my laptop to the TV with an HDMI cable . Awkward to move around the laptop & use it. Awkward use the laptop while watching. Cable ends fail, and replacement cables were expensive, When I learned (again- from my daughter) that I could use my computer to control comcast; I bought it and switched over from the cables. Much better experience. I had a few glitches in connection at first, but the learning curve was steep & easy.

Chromecast is Awesome

I can be watching something on my tablet, phone, or laptop and immediately switch it to my TV with the Chromecast. The video and sound quality isn't diminished by transferring to Chromecast. I have definitely recommended it to friends.
