Why are smart TVs still being made?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had Chromecast since the first one and since it's become an amazing gadget that allows you to turn any TV with an HDMI port into a smart TV using your phone. Listen I've tried to use smart TV software and the truth is it just sucks. Updates are inconsistent if even at all after the first year. And the wifi modules built into TVs typically dont take advantage of new wifi technology. They lag and just don't get it done. Trust me on this grab this inexpensive dongle it will change the way you consume media as you can pretty much cast anything to your television even your Android phone screen. Ohh and if you have a Google home it takes it to a next level of using your voice to cast apps or media to your TV. One tip while you don't need to plug the device into a power supply I would suggest it as it makes casting easier when you power the TV on. You don't have to wait on dongle to connect.

Absolutely Worth It

Its a fast and effective way to cast content and the picture is crystal clear. Id get a 4k version but most TVs are smart these days and can play 4k content natively if you need it.

There is so much that can be done with a chrome cast on you tv. I haven't even figured everything out yet. I think every tv should have one. The price is great. Very affordable.
