I own the original Chromecast and a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. The Microsoft Adapter is good, but it has to Mirror your device. You can't Cast and Go do something else with your device. The New Chromecast has many new features with the new App that goes along with it. But it also has a better connection since it has improved radios. Yes, the original is smaller, but the new larger one performs better. I like the addition of the HDMI pigtail. I added an external HDMI pigtail to my original Chromecast and paid 5 bucks for it. All in all, it performs better, a little largern but Google is still missing one thing, Security. There is no mechanism to prevent other users on the same WiFi from monitor what you are casting or hijacking the device and pointing it to a Rick Ashley video on YouTube. No one wants a Troll in the house Rick Rolling their Chromecast. For now, I have to create a WiFi Vlan to secure it. Something your typical user cannot do easily. So Google, keep them coming. Keep improving them and one last thing. Add Security.

Chromecast is great. I use it to stream Netflix, HBO Go, and the AMC app primarily since I don't have a cable box in my room. Occasionally I'll bring it with me when I travel and haven't had any issues. It's cool to use with Google Home as well.

Works great for streaming Netflix when you don't have a smart TV with internet

Easy to set up, easy to use. Plug & Play into an HDMI port, use the Google Home app to connect it to home & and configure the settings, and voila! I mainly use it to stream Pandora to my television when cleaning, cooking, or chilling out.

I use this device for streaming content from my cell phone and computer screen to my full size TV monitor. It works flawlessly. Just make sure you download the Google app so you can better manage who streams what, pause, etc. Great Product!

I use my chromecast daily. It has made watching movies from my phone a pleasure

The chromecast set up was easy and it has added a lot of convenience to my viewing experience. Before this, I used to rely on a wireless keyboard and mouse to control the laptop connected to my TV through HDMI. This meant I had to constantly move to connect my laptop and also when it goes to sleep. With chromecast, I need not do this and most importantly I can cast only one tab from my chrome browser to my TV while I can keep other tabs open and accessible to do other work when there is a commercial break or when I am multi-tasking. I can also cast YouTube from my phone to my TV seamlessly. Chrome is the most popular browser now and also quite secure. Therefore, it makes sense to use a device that can cast from chrome. I had thought of buying an Apple TV to cast but chromecast is much cheaper and user friendly and does its job well.
