Plug & Play into an HDMI port, use the Google Home app to connect it to home & and configure the settings, and voila! I mainly use it to stream Pandora to my television when cleaning, cooking, or chilling out.

I use it to stream Netflix, HBO Go, and the AMC app primarily since I don't have a cable box in my room. Occasionally I'll bring it with me when I travel and haven't had any issues. It's cool to use with Google Home as well.

Fantastic Device for Streaming Content

It works flawlessly. Just make sure you download the Google app so you can better manage who streams what, pause, etc. Great Product!

Before this, I used to rely on a wireless keyboard and mouse to control the laptop connected to my TV through HDMI. This meant I had to constantly move to connect my laptop and also when it goes to sleep. With chromecast, I need not do this and most importantly I can cast only one tab from my chrome browser to my TV while I can keep other tabs open and accessible to do other work when there is a commercial break or when I am multi-tasking. I can also cast YouTube from my phone to my TV seamlessly. Chrome is the most popular browser now and also quite secure. Therefore, it makes sense to use a device that can cast from chrome. I had thought of buying an Apple TV to cast but chromecast is much cheaper and user friendly and does its job well.
