    I have 4 of the first generation chrome cast this is the 2nd generation, so clearly I was curious. This new generation is at least twice as fast as the previous generation since it can take advantage of the fastest wireless speeds out there (802.11AC). Everything works exactly the same and the new one is just as reliable as the old version. Google did a fantastic job on these.

    This is a great and simple product. This product only works if you have a mobile device or tablet FYI. For example, you plug this into your HDMI port in your tv, but the only way to setup is by using your device to download the app in order to use. If you need a 100% standalone product, then look into the amazon firestick. The simplicity of this product at the price point is a great buy! When you are in your youtube, netflix, pandora, or any other supported app on your phone, simply stream it to the tv and it works, You dont have to keep your phone on or anything, just continues to play. Youtube what i mean for more clarification on how this works!
