    I have 2 of the older chromecast, but decided to buy the new one for another bedroom. I was disappointed to find out that the chromecast had issues with my slingbox (slingplayer). The image would cut in half with weird colors which made it impossible to watch. Hopefully they will provide a fix for this soon. Besides that it works well with Youtube and other applications.

    This product works as described, Purchased mainly to cast movies from my iPhone to TV. Easy set up, I have one Chromecast for TV in the living room & one for the TV in the man cave. Each has its own code designation. No problems.

    Easy to install and set up. We have two of these devices. In the computer room we use it to cast Youtube to the(non smart) tv between our computers, also Netflix. We decided to get a 2nd one of these even though the tv in the livingroom is a smart tv, because it is so easy to cast to the big screen in there from our laptop. If we are trying to share something with friends or family we don't have to crowd around the small lap top screen. Great for skype! Great for Synaptop! Great for when you are sitting with your little phone screen and you want to see the video you're watching on the big screen without having to get up! Don't like the menu on your smart tv for Netflix? This is so much easier to navigate because you can use your phone as your remote! Love love love this product!

    The updated google chromecast is so much faster than the previous version. I really enjoyed how quickly I am able to cast to my big TV. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to upgrade their old chromecast.
