I don't watch a lot of broadcast television, be it network or cable, so even when I bought my new TV I was sure I didn't want a cable hookup in my room to add to an already ridiculous bill. Sure, I can just use the PS4 for YouTube videos but not everyone likes YouTube... nor do I want any guests fighting over my controller. But it took about thirty seconds to gets the Chromecast plugged in, and less than five minutes to get it set up. Now I have a lot more options, especially for guests. And everyone, including me, is happy. If you love your Netflix and your Hulu more than your cable, you might want to invest in one of these and ditch the cable bill.

This was easy to set up and use to watch shows from the Internet on our tv. We have used it regularly since purchasing. Would recommend to anyone. Turns a regular tv into a smart tv.

I was looking for something so my son could watch things on this phone on his tv. This was very easy to setup and get streaming fast. The quality is good and my son his very happy.

The chromecast is a great, affordable way to stream movies to your tv. There are so many apps that work with it seamlessly. This is my 3rd purchase to have one for each of our tvs.

Works just like the old one, albeit a little faster and snappier when watching streams and accessing the web. Easy to setup, great compact size, improved wifi antenna, & great price.

This product has exceeded my expectations and has met my desires. It streams nicely from my laptop or tablet to my HDTV. Set up was really easy and implementation is just as easy.

I recently upgraded from the 2014 Chromecast model and I just love the new device. Easy setup, nice picture. Some glitches with slower connections, but mostly positive experience.

This little device is easy to set up and is really a good complement to a cord cutters arsenal. Being able to stream content from the my Chrome browser is the reason I purchased this and it actually works better than connecting a laptop directly to the TV via HDMI. Picture and sound quality is good and it's easy to use. I don't really bother with the other features since I use a Roku for most things like Netflix, Amazon and Plex. However, this gives options for media online where the Roku falls short or just doesn't work well.

I'm not as tech savy as I like but this was easy to set up and works well for Netflix. Haven't tried casting photos, etc. yet but will soon. I already recommended it to my brother.

I bought this Chromecast to replace an older version that one of my kids broke. The newer version is much more reliable. I get a good connection every time. I occasionally have issues casting certain tabs. Twitch, for example, is finicky, but that's a Twitch thing. It's great to be able to cast a tab to my TV while I'm doing something else on the computer. I only wish that there was a way to keep the audio portion on the computer rather than hearing it through the TV speakers since I use a Bluetooth headset with my computer. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and convinced my dad to get one.

Setting up this product was extremely simple; Google goes to great lengths to obviate all potential issues. Especially when paired with a Google Assistant (as an APP, voice assistant, or other), playing music, TV shows, assorted YouTube clips and sporadic photos is spectacular. My family is able to use the laptop to control the TV for a little bit, and then I can use my phone to select a song, and then my sister can as Google for some Anime... And Chromecast keeps up. One stellar device for bringing the family together in the living room and painlessly viewing internet content on the TV.

I have the original chromecast and this is by far much better. Casting to the TV has less of a delay and there is no choppy video which is what I experienced with the first one.

i love the google chromecast. easy to set up and easy to use. I love streaming from my phone and laptop. if you are thinking to buy, do not think anymore just go out and get one.

Chromecast was very easy to set up. It's easy to use. Casting Pandora, YouTube and Google Music is smooth. Netflix works better with Chromecast than through my blu - ray player.

Very easy to install and operate. The videos maintain the original quality and synchronize perfectly. Apparently there is no delay during video streaming. Recommended strongly.

While this is not tied to a product like iTunes it is a good alternative to the Apple empire. I found it simple to operate and set-up. I can stream the movies and home videos from my PC and they look great. all around great product.

Replaced my old Chromecast with the new model and it works more smoothly and with less disconnects than the old model. Love to 'toss' YouTuve videos to the big screen to watch.

We don't pay for cable or dish in my home - hulu plus and netflix only...but there are a few things we miss out on that are available online via hulu, but not on any of our televisions, so Chromecast is an AMAZING and obscenely AFFORDABLE addition! A one-time $35 payment is just absolutely ridiculously fair for how much use you get out of this powerful little thing. I'm definitely going to be getting another one of these for another one of my TVs asap, as it works flawlessly, and is completely wonderful.

Purchased this for my bedroom as I don't have a cable converter in there and sometimes like to watch a little tv in bed. My son stole it. They don't have cable at his mom's house so with this, a variety of apps and my cable info, he's able to watch some of the programs he enjoys. I've since replaced this with another. My daughter stole that one. I only have one other kid so, maybe if I buy two more, I'll get to keep one. BTW, you don't have to have the Chromecast app to use this. Pretty much anything compatible automatically displays the cast symbol and will find your device as long as it and the phone are on the same wifi network. My son also found a work around for unsupported video apps. For this trick, you do need the Chromecast app. Use the apps mirror feature to cast your phones screen to your television, then play your video. Happy casting

I was recommended this device for movie streaming by a co worker. It was easy to install and inexpensive. I am able to stream movies from my phone straight to the TV so I love that I am able to do so in the comfort of my own home.
