    Got this as a gift for my father. Test setup on my TV was a cinch and the online instructions were quick and easy to follow. Required downloading an app for iOS as well as my dad's Android phone - not sweat there. Love the fact that it can make your TV a replica of your phone app or the whole laptop/desktop using Chrome browser! That is what differentiates it from Roku (which I have been using for many years and love!) - would have been better if native apps were also resident to Chromecast than just a screencasting mechanism, but a good value for money nonetheless. In rest mode, the default screens and scrolling news is a nice feature but no good if the TV is switched off... Recommended if you know what you want to do with this device :-)

    Chromcast is amazing. It is very intuitive and has tons of compatible apps. There is a little lag time with some apps and it won't cast occasionally. But that's with any electronic item, it's gonna need a reboot every once and a while. Overall great product for my needs.
